“a place to lay you head, have a shower nad”
Reviewed 24 May 2009

we stayed in this hotel for 1 night and found it suitable for our needs - simply a clean room with a bed and a shower. after reading tripadvisor i knew what to expect and was not disappointed. the room is basically a pod. the double bed fits between the two walls, it has a small desk, tea and coffee, a plasma tv (which is the size of small country) and a shower/wet room (with shower gel etc). the room was immaculately clean and practical. there was no window but is substituted by a webcam on one of the channels on the tv so you see the town and weather outside. the check in and out were quick and efficient and friendly, we got to check in at 1100 in the morning no problem. the wi-fi and new movies were complimentary. there is a ironing room if needs be and hairdryer is available from reception. our room was at the end of the building which was through a little maze of corridors but it was all extremely well signposted so we didn't get lost once. food and drinkswise there are vending machines at the end of each corridor and there is a bar/cafe attached to the hotel. we didn't eat or drink here as it seemed a bit pricey. better to take the 5 minute walk around the corner to 'the mailbox' and access to the canalside where you will find plenty of pubs, restaurants, bars and cafes open from breakfast to late. it took us less than 10 minutes to walk to the hotel from new street station by following the directions on the hotel website. i will definately stay here again

I really like the concept of this hotel; small rooms with what you need to sleep, shower, watch TV and browse on great wifi. If you want to be in a more social space there's a sort of lounge area on 2 levels where you can see the outside world and relax/browse (shame no bar, but at the price...). My only gripe...the breakfast in the adjoining/partner cafe was great morning 1 with bacon sandwich, but morning 2 the bacon sandwich was apparently not policy, even though on menu; I had to pay for the full breakfast, which I didn't want. I politely said I'd go elsewhere...shame...

WOW! What a great place. The idea of not having a window at 1st seemed like a design floor but once you have visited you realise this is one factor that gives the hotel its character and charm. From the second i walked in and was greeted with a smile(instead of the usual grunts u get in other places) and the service continued as they explained the hotels unique features to a level even I couldn't mess up.
THE ROOM:
some may say small but i say "perfect, what else do i need!" the room itself is the length of a very comfy and large double bed, with a huge plazma at the bottom. This has a clever feature in that as i was flicking through the channels found that they have a feed to an external camera to show great vies of brum! As i said who needs a window! The on suit or "wet room" was spot on and the shower was worth the stay on its own. (and yes they did suply shower gel soap etc). While getting ready i realised my jeans needed ironing and after i finished swearing i headed towards reception in the hope a iron was avaliable.... no need they had an ironing room.... Genius! The clever lighting system took me no time to figure out after an brief disco style light show, found out they had several lighting options for differant moods. (you never know i may have got lucky)

THE STAFF
No stuck up bell boys givin me puppy dog eyes for a blood tip i can't afford, i am happy! the receptionist looked happy to be there and see me which made me think my new choice of aftershave had done the trick, but no just a very plesent young lady! i wasn't rushed and any questions i had were happily answered.

FACILITYS
does exactly what it says on the tin. No sauna or healthclub to make you feel less of a man. No swiming pool just a great room a lovely cafe and a great atmosphere with great staff. i wanna live there

FINAL
if your looking for somewhere nice, convinient, friendly, a bit differant, without all the crap we don't want or need... well you can't go wrong than visit nitenite. loved it 10/10

Don't ignore travelers' descriptions of how small the rooms are. I thought I was prepared, but I really wasn't. We were two people in one room for three nights -- and it was tight. It would have been so much easier had our suitcases fit under the bed, but they wouldn't clear it by a matter of inches. Thus, we kept our suitcases in the tiny bathroom/shower. And the bathroom/shower was so small that we needed to move our suitcases into the other room whenever we wanted to close the bathroom door. If you're traveling with another person, you'll quickly learn how well you tolerate each other. (Thankfully, my companion and I passed the test.) Also, it must be stated that the room rate is outstanding for UK city hotels.

Stayed here a couple of years ago after the Clothes Show Live and we are going back again next week for the night. A perfect , trendy hotel for a night or two away (maybe a bit small to stay any longer) and a VERY good price considering the location and quality of the hotel. The hotel has a very relaxed atmosphere and a 12noon check out which is later than most hotels...perfect for sleeping off a hangover.
If your looking for a good quality place to crash for the night at a very good price then definitely try Nite Nite

Hotel was great. Clean, friendly staff and great location. Five minutes walk from bars on broad street, new street train station and bullring area, and litrally around the corner from the restaurants in the mailbox complex. Rooms are small but really clean/modern and fine for a couple of nights away, we only slept and got ready there anyway. Perfect location for nights out and shopping and only 3.50 return on the train to NEC arena! Would definately stay again =)
