Here on business visiting local company, perfectly located and free parking. No restaurant but nearby Barnt Green Inn was excellent.

We held our wedding here in August and it was great. The place is small enough that you get the run of the hotel for the day which was wonderful. There are 11 bedrooms, all newly refurbished and spacous. We had a late ceremony and evening buffet and party, the food was delicious and lots of guests commented how much they liked it, especially as you could go back for seconds! The staff, especially the wedding co-ordinators were brilliant and really helped things to go smoothly on the day, there were no hitches at all!
The grounds here are beautiful and we were lucky enough to have a sunny afternoon for our photographs too.
I would definitely recommend this as a lovely wedding venue, the hotel can sleep up to over 30 people and there are lots of other hotels near by for your other guests too. We had an amazing day and will always remember it!
From beginning to end our stay was very enjoyable, from the first welcome as we came through the door by the manager and housekeeping staff, we were met with smiles and general helpfulness. Our bedroom was incredibly spacious, very clean and smelled fresh. The decor was warm and inviting in a mixture of cream, deep red and chocolate brown. The bathroom was very light and airy and spotlessly clean. The ambient lighting in the bedroom was perfect but the overhead light and shade did not illuminate the room as well as I would have liked (I needed to put my face on!). Really good location, so easy to find from the M5, and plenty of parking at no extra cost. There were several function room equipped with bars and the garden was small but very pleasant with a pond and fountain and nightime illumination. Lovely walks in the grounds surrounding the hotel and were were blessed with watching a mother duck and her four ducklings waddling around. The breakfast was superb, very tasty and plenty of offers of extra toast, tea and coffee and the chef popped in to say hello too! The only downside is that there there is no food served at lunctime but the staff were happy to direct us to a venue just up the road and within walking distance. We would most definitely stay again!!
We would just firstly like to say a very big thank you to Marie who made our afternoon flawless from the moment we got back from the church until check out the next morning. Marie was a very professional and approachable wedding co-ordinator who put our minds at ease with any concerns and questions we had. We had our wedding breakfast and evening reception at the old rose and crown hotel, the meal and service was everything we hoped for and everyone commented on how nice it was. I would highly recommend this hotel to anybody that will listen. Thank you again to Andrew and his team xx
The hotel staff were very friendly & helpful,especially Jenny who looked after us at breakfast. The family room was a fabulous size, decorated well & clean. The cot was set up in the room when we arrived. Breakfast was excellent. We had a very pleasant stay and we would recommend this hotel to all.
I stayed with my parents and brother for one night - there were a few problems with the booking - I wanted a room for 4 adults but the confirmation email said I had booked a family room for 2 adults and 2 children. The manager offered me a full discount or a discount on 4 adults - everything was sorted out easily. The hotel was very clean and well decorated in a good location, breakfast was good and it was all very cheap.
