Have a go on one of our flight simulators or race around our slot car circuit, or talk to our model makers for their tips on creating your own layouts. Loved my visit here! The kids loved the Scalextric track and the fight sims. The staff were brilliant and talked about the models with such passion!
Oh and the coffee and cakes were nice too!
Needless to say we'll be going back!
Thank you!

This new facility is spread over three floors and has several layouts of model trains, mostly OO/HO gauge. There's slot car racing to keep youngsters amused though only two or three can use it at any one time. There are 4 or 5 flight simulator booths (Microsoft simulator) with aircraft style pilot's yoke and rudder pedals. A step up from just a joystick that most have or had at home. There were some model aeroplanes on display but most of the place was given over to model trains.

What I found interesting was seeing so many of the layouts being constructed. The staff are enthusiastic and happy to talk to you about what they're doing and sharing their expertise. If you like model trains (and planes) then this is an enjoyable place to visit and then re-visit a few months later when the model displays would have moved on. There are periodic exhibitions of other layouts but we didn't witness this ourselves. There's a small cafe on site.

The nearest railway station is Snow Hill and if you exit by Livery Street entrance then you'll be only a few steps away from the venue. The place is about 10-15 minute walk from Birmingham New Street station.

Thank you for taking the time to write your review. The flight simulators are really popular, did you manage not to crash?

What a great idea this is - a mix of trains from various countries and brilliant flight simulators which are very realistic. Looking forward to going back in a month or two to check their progress. Well worth a visit. Lovely people too.

If you are into model trains (and planes) then this is a very interesting new development. Right now it's more work in progress than a finished entity but actually that makes it even more interesting to the enthusiast. There are a lot of half-built layouts and you can see how they are being made. The people working on them are local enthusiasts so you can have a good chat.

What is there to see (and do):

- A variety of layouts in various scales representing various countries.
- A Scalextrix type racing track
- Flight simulator
- A shop where you can buy various bits of kit
- A café

It's right in the centre of Birmingham so easy to get to.

This is a venture that's worth supporting so go along and enjoy yourself.
