I came in for dinner and ordered chicken fried in Kung po sauce and some fried rice. The chicken was undercooked and clearly it was not cooked with the Kung po sauce that was around it. The chicken tasted like wet feathers and cardboard. Presentation was not good too. Avoid.

Ate here on our way to theatre...never again! We were taken upstairs to eat, into a very large 'air hanger' of a room, and sat at a rickety table, served over priced cheap tasting wine, and below average food. The room was draughty, and had no ambience at all, I felt like we were sitting in a works canteen from 1971.
We had no time to go elsewhere or we would have, we just hoped for the best for the food, unfortunately it was ALL bland and watery. I will not be visiting here again

First time in this restaurant. We ordered the steamed dim sum and they served them deep fried. We were told that they deep fry first before steaming. Honestly, did they think we never had dim sum before? The szechuan beef was the worst we ever had. Would never go back!

Our visit to Chung Ying was totally unplanned, we found it quite by accident.
The restaurant itself was fairly busy (always a good sign) but we were seated immediately.
The bill came to about £140 for 5 of us including drinks, and we ordered a LOT, we could easily have just ordered some dishes to share, the portions were so huge. The waiters were very polite and attentive, though weren't particularly chatty. This wasn't a problem at all.The food came fairly quickly from when we ordered and they gave us complimentary prawn crackers whilst waiting for our starters. We could not fault the food at all, although it is a little on the pricey side, you definitely get what you pay for. We finished the lot and all in all it was a very enjoyable evening.
Would definitely recommend to anyone who fancies a decent Chinese.
