Nando's is what I call a healthy eating establishment, spicy or as much spice as you like. It's a chicken lovers paradise I can't get enough of it. Birmingham Broad Street is a keen favourite of mine, it can be a little pricey for what is just chicken. However, it wouldn't be any good if Nando's didn't do it there way.

The girlfriend and I had lunch here on a Friday afternoon and found the food tasty - especially in comparison to the Star City Nando's where we seem to always have at least 1 problem with the food - and the staff friendly. What more can one ask for!

Peri peri half chicken with a hot sauce, for the two "sides" I chose savoury rice and minted peas all for £9.95 and it was excellent value. The diet coke was £2.45 but as it was such a hot day (26c) I went back three extra times,so overall it was cheap.Sort of self serve in part but a really tasty and filling lunch that was well cooked.

An enjoyable experience for a change !

You can't really go far wrong with grilled chicken (as long as it's cooked) and it suits all tastes at Nando's from mild to extra hot. My only gripes with Nando's are that the drinks, if not the entire menu, are a bit overpriced and they don't do full table service. It's somewhere between fast food and a proper restaurant. This one in Birmingham is the same as any other, as consistent as McDonald's or KFC but a step up in quality. A fun, informal place to eat and because the menu is so simple, you don't have to wait long for your food.

We stopped here after moving my daughter into new student digs as it is one of her favourites, and indeed seems to be a real favourite of her generation. All of us were very hungry and not in a mood to wait around. From the outset the service was friendly and efficient. Between us we had Butterfly Chicken, Half a Chicken, a Double Chicken Burger with Fries, Creamy Mash, Peas and Coleslaw. Washed down with Sagres Beer, White Sauvignon and a bottomless Soft Drink. Followed up with the excellent Naughty Natas and Cappuccinos. Not a morsel was left and everything was well cooked. Not fine dining but predictably good. We all left in a good mood. We visit Portugal every year and love the food. While Nando's represents only a tiny aspect of Portuguese cuisine it does it very well and very consistently.
