A group of us stayed to attend a friends' wedding. Made a weekend of it and had a great stay with really warm welcome, we all arrived at different times and didn't know how to get to the wedding but the staff were really helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Clean comfortable rooms, good breakfast and a great location.

I had a 3 day business trip to a hospital near to Northfield and was recommended to this Hotel. The Manager and staff were very welcoming and helpful and the Hotel, homely and comfortable. One of the other guests at the excellent breakfast, said that the manageress had helped her and even given her a lift. They couldn't have been more obliging. Some refurbishment is currently taking place but it has not interferred with the Hotel and will improve it further soon.

My family and I stayed at this friendly little B&B in January and we very happy with the accommodation. The staff were very friendly and even picked us up from the train station on our arrival into Birmingham. The proprietor was a very nice and accommodating lady, which was just what we needed with our daughter in the hospital. We even had an evening meal cooked for us on our first night, which turned out to be a very nice 3 course meal. Our room was very clean, spacious and extremely comfortable, and i would definitely choose stay at the Maderia Hotel if i was to come back to Birmingham.
Many thanks.

Do not stay at this hotel! We stayed here for 1 night in Jan 2008 and the hotel is awful! The carpet was dirty in our stupidly small room. The headboard on the bed was disgusting, and the bed itself has to be the lumpiest and most uncomfortable I have ever stayed in. I travel away on business very often but this has to be the worst hotel ever. The price was 52 GBP per room per nigh including breakfast but so not worth it. The basin and toilet were clean, as were the sheets and pillow cases, but the shower tiles were cracked and black! My suggestion would be to stay at somewhere like the Westmead Hotel near Hopwood. Only 15mins away by car but so much more worth it.
