My boyfriend and I stayed at the Cocked Hat on Friday 1st August as we were going to a wedding nearby. The room cost us £40 and, although we'd heard good things about this place from some friends, for that price we were just expecting somewhere to lay our heads for a few hours after the wedding and nothing else. We were both absolutely blown away with how good this hotel is for the money!! There was plenty of parking space and the room was enormous with a separate seating and dressing area, lovely and cool with aircon, a really comfortable bed and we had a door that opened out onto the lovely garden. It was also very quiet considering it's so close to busy main roads. There is a pub right next door which is quite a family-orientated place and we had some drinks there but didn't eat there so can't comment on the food. Would definitely come back to this hotel again and would recommend it to anyone.

I got to the hotel at 6 pm had a shower and got changed. The room was fine just need some signage to show you were the light switches were. Eventually found the lights and went down for some food. Waited at the bars for 20 mins to get a drink once I got my drink I selected a table and number went to the bar were you order food to find out that some else had taken the table between me selecting a table and ordering the food. I had to go and select another table 10 mins later!!!!!!! Eventually ordered the food and have been waiting for at least an hour and a half. Sat outside which I have to say is very scenic with good surrounding. Still waiting for my food I decided to have another beer. Not good. Food arrived asked for the meat medium rare!
It was like an old leather bike seat that was 100 years old!!! Still chewing. Pretty bad but could be so good I hope the management read this and sort it out.

Very nice hotel, with friendly staff. Good value for money restaurant and bar.
The only issue was the room was far too hot, and no air conditioning. Just a pity we were only told at checkout oh we do have fans available, maybe we should post a notice!
Otherwise a good stay.
Great breakfast too.

We stayed for 2 nights as we went to a concert in Milton Keynes and wanted to be somewhere inbetween Birmingham and Milton Keynes. The B&B lies next to a big intersection and you can hear the traffic, no matter which room you get. So if you need to sleep very calm this isn't right for you. But we liked it as it was handy to get everywhere we wanted to. Only 20 minutes drive to the airport of Birmingham and only 30 minutes to Stratford and the beginning of the Cotswolds. We didnt have any meals there but the pub next door looked nice and was well visited. The rooms are old style with carpet and a bit of a hideous bathroom. Mirror was low cause of the roof so you could only see your lower tummy and legs. No soap are anything in the bathroom. Just a tub with a shower inside. Water pressure almost non-existant. But all good for one night or two. Bed was comfy and the price was great. Free wifi didn't work in the rooms but at reception.

We were looking at staying in the area for a few nights and noticed The Cocked Hat by Good Night Inns and looking at the photo of it appeared to be a large nice old hotel set in a large garden , just what we were looking for, a quiet relaxing place so we decided to book .
When we arrived it looked nothing like the photo. Thought we may be in the wrong hotel.
We went to our room which had a small window and very limited opening. It was daylight but we had to put all the lights on to lighten it up. Very hot in there with no air coming in.
There were yellow warning signs in the bathroom but nothing to warn you about the angled roof over one side of the bed and in the bathroom. Please see photos attached.
There was also what appeared to be a Door banging contest going on in the corridor, This went on for some time but at least we had the noise coming from the pub next door to listen to as well but to be fair people enjoying themselves was acceptable, the door slamming wasn't.
There were a few good points as well. The room itself was Very Clean as was the bathroom
The Staff that we met were all Very Nice and pleasant
and we enjoyed the breakfast

Me and my partner stayed for 1 night we were initially in room 5, the room was huge and even had a glass door which led to a private enclosed garden area. We had a slight problem with the tv and when we mentioned it to a member of staff they were more than happy to come and have a look at it for us. After a couple of minutes the lady (I'm assuming the manager) offered us another room - She didn't make us feel stupid or unreasonable and the other room was just as nice but this time with a door that led out onto an enclosed terrace. We couldn't have been happier for the price, the staff were lovely and the location was beautiful. Thankyou for a lovely stay!
