It was great to have all the facilities included in the room rate. Rooms were ok, perhaps in need of some works, as our bathroom floor was cracked and dated.

Boiling hot rooms, only placated by leaving the windows fully open.

Breakfast was awful and not to be recommended.

Good central location with Starbucks on hand as well.

Just returned from Village hotel coventry, our 2nd time we have used this hotel for a break. The very good bits = Restaurant manager, friendly, welcoming & very professional, he actually remembered us from our last visit ! A real credit to Village Hotels. The Victory pub, great atmosphere lots of choice & great specials. The gym/pool & spa have excellent facilities & are always very clean. The good bits = Rooms are of good standard & were clean & tidy. The bad bits = Check in staff never know the details of the booking youv'e made (2nd time), upon check out tried to charge us for our 'FREE' bottle of wine. Communication between restaurant cashier & check out must be improved because tills never take off fully all the special offers, watch out for this & make sure you get what your supposed to.

Room Tip: Try & not get a first floor room at the front, can be very noisy in warm weater with people using outside tables & smoking

8 of us have just spent a great overnight spa break here - the staff were friendly, the rooms very clean and comfortable, the food was included in the deal and was varied and generous portions. The pool was clean and there was adults only swimming times, the spa treatments were really good too - huge gym with modern equipment.A really good deal.the hotel was busy but we never felt pressured -there is a local bus that shuttles to Coventry from just outside too.

We booked a disabled room for three nights for my elderly parents who had come to visit to celebrate their diamond wedding. They found the room so uncomfortable that they only stayed two nights although the room was already paid for. The bathroom had been adapted for a wheelchair user but the rest of the room was completely unsuitable for people with limited mobility. It was very small, the bed was too high and moved about and there was only one chair provided. The room was on the first floor accessed by one small lift and someway down the corridor. The breakfast buffet, for which they wanted to charge £9 was a shambles. It took them 15 minutes to replenish the sliced bread for the do it yourself toaster and someone who ordered boiled egg was presented with a raw egg! The sexist cartoons in the lift advertising the hotel bar, which were like dirty postcards summed up the ambiance of the place.

I stayed at the Village Hotel during a business trip in Coventry and on the whole it’s nice.
Good points
Pool
Food
Clean

Not so good points
My key opened the door of someone else room (bit embarrassing!)
Rooms aren't that big (twin)
It's not the best place to stay without a car.

I will be staying at the hotel again, however this is because it convenient for work.
