got an internet deal of £30/per night and planned to stay for 3 nights with my boss, as we were contracting in the area. The last time this hotel had any money spent on it was probably the 1980`s, the place is filthy and i mean filthy. The tarrif rate for a nights stay is apparanty £200 who the hell pays that much. After the second night and the mystery of my of missing shower curtain we decided to check out and find somewhere else.
I can only assume that the owners/share holders of this chain have done nothing but take money out of the place, shame on them for letting it get this way,.....steer well clear of this hotel.

for all the hype about this hotel chain i cant explain how dissapointed i was when we came here.
the function room was very large, however it was very old and dated, the wall paper was ripped in various areas, the carpet was originally green but had gone brown with age, the dance floor was wooden but had huge chips and scuff marks all over it.
the buffet in the evening was awful...a selection of 2 pizzas...a bit of salad...and a tonne of mini sausage rolls, i could have gone to iceland and done a better job myself!
the toilets werent even on the same floor, so guests had to travel down 2 flights of stairs. towards the end of the night none of the ladies toilets had any toilet roll left, and in one cubacle, there were feces all over the floor..walls..ect..absolutely disgusting!
the staff were friendly enough, the drink prices were cheaper than most hotels..but all in all i would never come here again, not even for a meal or a quiet drink,

Room Tip: choose a diferent hotel

Ok, we were on a cheap weekend mystery trip, but if I had known which hotel I was going to, I would not have gone here. Dining room, freezing, staff just as frosty, I asked if it would be warmer in another area of the dining room and for asking, I was totally blanked the rest of the time in there! Bar area - scruffy, unwelcoming, and very cold. if you have a choice don't stay here, maybe cheap but travel lodges and premier inn's ten times better.

Stayed here for one night as we had a conference to go to following day, yes the place looked a little tired but you know what don't knock it,reception (two young ladies) could not have been more helpful, room perfectly adequate clean with tea making facilities. We had B&B and evening meal.the meal was excellent three courses more than enough to eat with a choice of three items for each course,Breakfast buffet full English again excellent quality.
Look its not the Four Seasons but for £50 for two people superb value for money.
Would i stay again most definitely

Room Tip: Try not to get front of hotel a little noisy from street

I don't know where to start. When I entered the room it was like going into a furnace. The wardrobe had one door because the other was missing and the dust on the top shelf was enough to write your name in. The food was terrible. The fire alarm went off at 6.49 am with no explanation, cistern handle on the wall was broken, toilet roll holder broken, carpet stained and dirty. The bed was uncomfortable and could only comfortably fit a small child. Oh and we were over-charged £74 and had to get a refund, apart from that, nice location for drunk students. Would have complained but probably would have got a free stay in the future. Well the exhibition was great.

Room Tip: Don't do it.

Couldn't seem to cope over the holiday - v busy & many staff seemed to be 'holiday' staff. This led to some v poor service on occasions. Also lots of things promised, but failed to happen. Had to ASK for our room to be cleaned after one day missed entirely! Excellent location - v close to centre - you can see the cathedral on one side.

Worse hotel i've ever been too. On entry the young lady at the reception made sure to tell my black gf to take her hat off, but yet let a white woman sit freely with hers on. The ironing room was a joke. Was labelled as such but was really the cleaning store. The ironing board was without the iron, which took them 20mins to bring up and even then the ONE iron they had was a bag of rubbish and eventually became cold. The reception unmanned half of the time. They did not have toiletries at hand or for sale if you forgot them, which decents hotels have. We both had to have cold showers. Thankfully we were going out so did not have to endure any more nonsense from there. Came back drunk so nothing mattered much after that. Would not recommend to anyone I like and will pay the extra for elsewhere!

Room Tip: Find another hotel for a good stay
