There was lots to see with information about Coventry past and present.I only wish I had had more time to look around as the museum closes quite early.Great place for adults and children.

We have been here many times and enjoyed it, the only thing we were ever dissapointed with was the dinosaur exibition which we paid to see, it was extremely dissapointing and wasn't worth the money i did feel like it should have been free however other exibitions that have been fre have been great especially the ccfc memorabilia. great for all ages if you want somewhere for a free day go here, coffee is lovely in the cafe too

I must be honest a trip to Coventry never feels complete without a look around The Herbert collection and there's always something new to see.

A fascinating museum and gallery with a terrific cafe. Good food and drink at great prices. A terrific building worth a look alone. The staff were charming especially the guy on the reception. A quiet Sunday!

What a delight this Gallery and Museum is, SO well thought out and thought provoking. Children were able to touch some exhibits, such as an old fashioned telephone, and there were some remarkably beautiful art exhibits. I was particularly impressed with one display which put ancient artefacts against modern ones in such a way that it really made you think about the comparison between the different ages and cultures from which they came, where we were then and where we are now. With people of so many different cultures now living in the UK, the exhibits from different eras, Mediaeval through to the 50s and 60s will tell them Coventry's story and the 'Peace and Reconciliation' section can only do good. Entry was free though donations are welcome, there is an excellent cafe/restaurant and a lovely shop with a good variety of good quality and reasonably priced goods appropriate to the venue. Excellent, highly recommended.
