Room temperature extreme - no air-conditioning. very dirty furniture in the rooms and the bathroom disgusting -with mould. in price of breakfast just toast with jam or cereal with milk. Despite of my friend canceeling his booking much earlier I had to pay for her room. NEVER AGAIN

Room Tip: you better choose a better hotel. this one is very expensive for what you get.

Reading some of the previous reviews, I began to wonder if I had inadvertently checked into a different hotel!

I booked because of the budget prices, but have been most pleasantly amazed with my experience this first night of a two-night stay. My room is spacious, clean and looks newly decorated. As well as a large TV, it has a hairdryer, trouser press, iron with ironing board and spare pillows. Yes, there is a bit of traffic noise because I have the windows open, but it's not too bad. WiFi is free in contrast to the exorbitant rates charged by some of the supposedly upmarket chain hotels. Bottled water for the room can be requested from the bar, and no charge is made for it.

Staff at the reception desk were welcoming and efficient when I checked in. On my return from a walk round town, they re-activated my key card, just as a precaution to save me potential hassle because apparently the room information can get wiped if the card is kept near a mobile phone for some time. That was an unexpected thoughtful touch. Another thoughtful touch is that the bar will supply a bottle of water for the room at no charge.

Best of all though, the restaurant serves Indian food at very reasonable prices. This is prepared by chefs from India. To my joy, the menu includes fish curry, which is rarely found in the UK. I had some tonight with pilau rice. The rice was perfectly cooked, not soggy and not dry round the edges as is so often the case. The fish curry was simply fabulous; obviously freshly prepared, beautifully spiced and not at all oily. It one of the best curries I've ever had, and, believe me, I'm fussy about Indian food!

All in all very happy. Got a discounted deal on four midweek nights and benefited from the free wi-fi, parking and continental breakfast.

The room was fine, decorated well with trouser press and full bath. Nice widescreen TV.

The location is almost as good as you need it to be for the City center, depending on what you're up to.

Not really sure what other reviews expect for a budget hotel. Its better than a Travelodge, and probably only just short of the Premier Inn, but then again its cheaper and for VFM probably beats them anyway.

Situated just outside ring road with an easy walk into city. Very good free parking is a bonus. Rooms are clean but basic. Good TV and linen / towels. Cleanliness of a high standard. Decent, comfortable bar. Breakfast restaurant was good although DIY toaster was temperamental. Plentiful continental selection and cooked meal on request. Got a room through Booking.com at a good discount. Had top-floor "suite" although the sitting room was small and had two small seats and the same desk there was in the bedroom. Room design therefore a little odd. No air-conditioning and the weather was very hot so had to have windows open so a little noisy. Without asking, the hotel delivered a fan for the room - very welcome. The bed was rock-hard - not to everybody's liking.

Room Tip: Try to get a room not overlooking the very busy Holyhead Road

When we checked in at 2.30pm our room was not even ready yet, the cleaner was still in there which was not good as we wanted to get changed and go straight out.
The lady on the front desk was as miserable as a hotel receptionist as I have ever engaged with.
Noise through the hotel all night long including some very loud fornicating by a couple on the floor above which I'm sure kept at least 3 floors of residents awake as the lack of air-con ensured all windows were open.
Frosties and toast for breakfast, the location and free parking are the only positives I will give this hotel.
I wouldn't stay here again.

I stayed at the Days Hotel on the 2nd July before a conference, I was dreading it after reading some of the reviews but to be fair its not as bad as some places I've stayed at before, but then again I've stayed in better too. If you are expecting Holiday Inn, Hilton or Ramada, then don't bother, you get what you pay for, basic room, clean ish, for 45.00 but the maintenance needs to be addressed, broken wardrobe, blocked spy hole in door, no double glazing, and wafer thin walls, Bed old but not too bad, appreciated the wake up call from the hotel laundry at 0600, NOT! Car park really tight and lack of signage on how to get there off the ring road, reception chaotic, a poor lady in front of me had the room given to someone else, then they expected her to sign for it, still there 90 mins later sorting it out. If you need a cheap bed, book it, if you want comfort and luxury, I'd choose somewhere else

Room Tip: avoid rooms that face onto the main road
