Not as glitzy as some of the larger air museums but the rarity of the exhibits is staggering. They have a Vulcan, and many "one offs". A Tornado GR4 is currently being prepared for exhibit. Entry fee is reasonable, excellent well stocked shop and a small cafe area.
The "true" aircraft enthusiast has to visit this.

A wonderful and well run museum. A very reasonable entrance fee, friendly and helpful staff. Exhibits are well cared for and there is a great range of exhibits for a museum of its size.
The cafe is clean and has a basic range of refreshments. The shop is well stocked.
Try to visit on an open cockpit day and get to sit in a few of the cockpits.
Worth a visit, allow three to four hours.

This is a great little museum. It was only £6.50 to get in, with free car parking. The staff are excellent, enthusiastic, friendly, helpful and more than happy to talk to you about the aircraft and anything else, had some great chats. Some of the aircraft are opened to look around in, even the Vulcan is opened. If you like your aircraft this place is well worth a visit.

This place is a gem for the not so little boys (aged 48) who haven't grown up yet. Its packed full of what I call 'real' jet aircraft. The prime exhibit has to be the Avro Vulcan which, if you're lucky, you can have a guided tour of the cockpit of this beauty. No 'health n safety' rubbish here, if you want to get in, you get in the way the crews used to do it, up a ladder!! The museum tells the story of aircraft construction in Coventry and pays homage to the inventor of the jet engine. Both inside and outside of the hanger are jet aircraft that look like the stuff you used to draw on your books when you were 8 years old. A brilliant, unfussy and accessible museum run by enthusiasts. Its a little gem of a place.

We were going to the Flight Sim company around the corner and decided to pay a visit to the museum. It was well worth it. A surprisingly large number of aircraft here including some modern types. There is a Tornado GR4, which is being re-assembled, it saw service in the Gulf Wars and it was nice to see the museum had saved it from the scrap heap.

The best part of our visit however was the trip up into the Vulcan cockpit. I believe it was Steve who approached us and asked if we wanted to take a look. He gave us a great talk on the history of the V Force and specifically about the Vulcan, explaining the changing role of it over the years. His own experiences from the RAF were added to this to bring it to life.

The museum has a cafe and is just generally a nice place to have a look around if you are interested in aircraft. Well worth a look.
