Please understand that there is not a lot of Indian food in Florida. We always try to find it when we are traveling. Turmeric Gold was a good experience for us. It is located on a very interesting medieval street within easy walking distance of our B&B. The decor is colorful and pleasant though the seats are a bit close. Evidently there is a special area upstairs as we saw two groups head up there with the admonition that there was a minimum order.
We were there just as the restaurant opened so it was not at all busy. Our service was fairly impersonal but I got good advice about what to order that was not hot. The popodoms and pickles were tasty and the sauces had a range of spiciness that suited both of us. My husband's Balti dish was delicious and my chicken was edible and well spiced for me. We enjoyed our meal.
