Arundel may be looking a bit tired and overpriced theses days but take a turning off the expensive Main Drag and find Belinda's lovely tea-rooms and restaurant haklf-way along Tarrant Street. Nice food, quick and amiable service plus a pleasant atmosphere. We three had lunch, all choosing the £7.95 Cottage pie off the specials board as the fixed menu did seem a bit dear (£9.50 for scampi and chips). Delicious cakes followed and all in all a saisfactory venture. Most impressive, too, was a clever way of making the pay-up formalities quick and easy to follow. Its a bit cramped for room in there on a sunny day but each table has a number and you just quote that when you go up to the counter to pay your bill at the end. Highlight of a fairly dull day out in this once-attractive town (now a cash-hungry tourist-trap - even the parking is extortionate, a coach-driver informs me.)
