This is a place you should visit if you stay in Brighton for few days.Specailly if you interesting in ancient buildings, history or architecture.
From Brighton it will take half a day to visit Arundel castle and have a meal . Castle located middle of beautiful small town. Nicely maintained with a beautiful garden.
It's not cheap , but as it's a thing you will enjoy doing once and it's worth it .

We went to Arundel Castle on the bank holiday weekend when there was entertainment for the young and old. The gardens are lovely and well maintained, the castle keep provides stunning views and the activities we interesting.

Arundel Castle and it's gardens is a great day out for the whole family. There really is something for everyone. History buffs will of course love the castle itself with all of its antiques, paintings and the rooms. Garden lovers will really enjoy the beautiful gardens that are so varied. The water displays around the gardens are lovely.
The castle itself brings history to life for all ages and the staff are both very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. Throughout our visit the staff who spoke to us and other visitors were very friendly and extremely good at explaining the castles history to both young and older visitors.
My husband can't walk far and the free buggy rides up from the gate to the castle entrance and then up to the gardens were excellent.
Overall the castle was the best place we have visited in many years. I would recommend it highly.

Took the girlfriend here for her birthday as she kept asking to go. Conveniently this fell on the Arundel Festival weekend so there were all sorts of entertainers in the castle grounds which only added to the great time we had here. Bird of prey displays, gladiators fighting and all this before even walking inside. The castle itself is a superb sight, very impressive from the exterior and even more so inside. I would highly recommend getting the Gold + tickets which give access to all areas. Superb views from the keep and some amazing Armour and weapons inside. The staff throughout the castle were very friendly and keen to provide insights to the castles history and daily use. Parking nearby was nice and easy, and the town itself was lovely to walk through. Highly recommended to all!

Me and my husband was very unlucky. Castle is open from Tuesday to Sunday. Every Monday is close. But still area itself is beautiful. Not far from castle is 14th century church, opposite side of the stunning Cathedral. Amazing place it is. Similar to Chichester cathedral. Both worth visit for sure(free entry).Arundel is a place for antique lovers. Many treasure seekers can found them self in this lovely town very happy. Highly recommended x from Moni and Jay xxx
