if you get a chance to go to a concert in the cathedral it is well worth it. Just beautiful, and don't miss the hidden chapel in the back!

“Worh a Visit”
Reviewed 25 August 2014

Positioned on the outskirts of the town, the Catholic Cathedral at Arundel is worth a visit. Interesting facts about the Cathedral and its history are posted through the Cathedral to keep the interest level going.

“Truly beautiful.”
Reviewed 25 August 2014

Loved the Cathedral. Well worth a visit, even if you are not a Catholic, or religious. Sat quietly through a mass, also of interest with a history module about Religion due next semester. Everyone we spoke to were very welcoming.

“Howard family”
Reviewed 20 August 2014

This cathedral is a tribute to the wealth & power of the Dukes of Norfolk, and is naturally dedicated to St Philip Howard. Built at much the same time that Arundel castle was remodeled, the combined expense must have been fantastic. Technically it has only been a cathedral since 1965, but it was conceived of in a grand scale, so no extra building was required.
As you approach Arundel from the south it stands out on the skyline, and that is its best feature. Once you are close it becomes clear that this is a Victorian pastiche rather than a medieval masterpiece. That said there is much of interest & it is well worth a visit.
