“Good choice if staying at Premier Inn”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 December 2011

This restuarant is next to the Premier Inn. We chose to dine here as we were not within walking distance of Arundel and were tired.
We were happy with the choice. The menu is not that exciting, but then its a fast food grill chain so its what you would expect. We only had one course each and the food was fine - hot and served quickly. This was a pleasant surprise as a party of 25 arrived at the same time as us and we expected delays. The staff also made an effort to keep couples in quieter areas away from noisy parties. Our waitress, Kayleigh, was delightful and worked very hard. The whole place was clean. The beer and wine were both good and the young man who took our drink orders knew about the range of special beers and could answer my husbands questions.
We did not have breakfast there so can't comment on that.
We would use this restuarant again if we stayed at the adjoining Premier Inn and wanted a quick, good value meal.

“Room for improvement, but not the worst”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 December 2011

We ate here for three nights while staying at the attached Premier Inn, on the fourth night we went elsewhere as we were tired of the menu choices and felt we'd exhausted it.

On the first night we had the meal deal, which is good value. We found the slab of bread with the prawn cocktail too much, and asked for the waitress to come back in about 30 minutes after our main course when she came to take the desert order, but she forgot.

On the second night my husband's dauphinoise potatoes were undercooked and cold. He sent them back but they took so long to come back the rest of his meal went cold. The duty manager was great and offered to get both meals recooked so we could eat together and we were given complimentary coffees. Very well handled.

On the third night we were stuck in the outside area. I can't understand why as there was loads of space in the main restaurant, and the area we were in was chilly, lacked atmosphere and music. It was a bit disappointing as it was a special meal for my husband's birthday, perhaps we didn't spend enough money the night before! Hence our decision to go somewhere else the next day.

On arriving at the restaurant it was often hard to find someone to seat us, especially in the mornings for breakfast.

It seems to be more of a trend for Beefeater to be understaffed. Not a bad restaurant, good response from the manager but nothing outstanding either.
