My experience the first time i thought was Okay. The food was good, I had the gammon steak. So having been there before as we was out for the day we decided to stop back there..... Never again. We did not know you had to be seated, so we just sat where we wanted to sit where we sat before. We realised we was supposed to be seated?... But why, are we not capable of sitting where we want, or seating ourselves?.. Looked behind to see the manager staring at me my husband and 2 young children obviously because we had seated ourselves, did not seem happy... did not bother us in the slightest, were paying we will sit where we want. My husband and I both ordered the double steak burgers that was served up on a chopping board.... WE HAD TO EAT OFF THAT..... Lovely.... we was asked if we would like skinny chips or ultimate chunky chips, we asked for the latter... they were served up in a tiny cup with about 3 chips in them.... Why could we not have it served on a plate. It was really expensive and the portions were crap.... I thought it was a waste of money. The staff were friendly tho. I just cant get over having our dinner served on a manky chopping board. Hygienist claimed that chopping boards carry bacteria than a toilet if not cleaned properly. We will never go back.

Went in for a romantic meal but got put near a table with a screaming child. The food took ages to come to the table. When it finally arrived it was so dry and chewy it was uningestable

Visited as part of a party of 12. Building looks tired and in need redecoration outside but is fine inside. Prawn cocktail starter isn't something I would bother with again. Main courses were very slow to arrive and needed chasing. When they arrived two needed replacement as either wrongly cooked steak or inedible roast. Other mains were ok and steaks which had been correctly cooked were good. Due to the long wait and errors the manager cancelled all the mains from the bill which seemed very fair. Deserts were enjoyable. Moral of the story is these sort of venues don't do roasts or gravy well.........stick to something like steak and chips or Fish and chips and you should be fine. If you want a roast go to a proper carvery. Overall an average experience.

We were a party of twelve - including 3 kids under 11 and a teenager - had to ask for top ups of soft drinks, clean forks and then waited ages for our main courses - after speaking to the manager they miraculously arrived - one of the party sent hers back as it was inedible -manager quite abrupt but changed food and wiped our main courses from the bill - however we have crossed the cross bush off our list as they clearly cannot cope in the kitchen - or just cope full Stop - there are so many more nice places around that are 'good value' -

We stayed at the premier inn and ate here 2 nights and 2 mornings.
We entered the restaurant via the door marked 'breakfast and restaurant entrance'. We walked in and there was no signs, so started walking aimlessly through the restaurant. Spotted a waitress and asked if we just sat anywhere? She huffed 'no, go to the front'. Perhaps a sign at the entrance might help then?!?
We asked for table for 3 plus room for buggy. She marched us all the way back to the entrance we came in and sat us right by the door. She said I'll put you here so you're not disturbed. The door then opened every 5 mins, along with a draft. We noticed a large amount of tables pushed together and then a huge party (25/30) turned up for a birthday and sat next to us! So much for not being disturbed! It took ages for the food to arrive, to get a drink, and to get the bill took about half an hour!!! I took 3yr old to bed in the end, and husband waited with baby and buggy, he was asked to walk across the restaurant, with the baby & buggy as the card machine was broken! Needless to say no tip was left!
Next day we had breakfast. All seemed ok except my poached eggs were rock hard. £8 is a lot for breakfast but it certainly filled us all up until dinner!!!
That night we risked it again, and service was a little better and the nachos were very nice.
Breakfast on our final day had two people running about like mad, although it didn't appear that busy. I ordered fried eggs this time, and they came out rock hard and looked plastic! I told the waitress who took them back and said they'd cook some more. No fuss or bother which was nice, and said it was something to do with their new oven.
Overall seems ok, unless they are busy & then it just falls apart!
