The Staff really make you feel very welcome, the room was extremely clean and just what we needed for a special night away.

The restuarant evening meal was very nice but they were very understanding about it all and valued the feedback we gave at the time. The breakfast however was very nice and all cooked freshly for you to order.

I would recommend this hotel, but bear in mind that they hold events at the weekend but the noise died down fairly early in the evening.

Room Tip: Room 19 is directly above the ladies Toilet in reception and the banging of Toilet doors can be frustrating when they have an event on but the room was very good.

My mum, my daughter and I had stayed in Arundel before as we we visit the area regularly because my daughter has family in Bognor so we decided to stay at the White Swan as my mum had stayed there before and it looked lovely from the outside. The room was lovely and clean and attractive. The breakfast was the highlight of the experience though, they had loads on offer and always replenished the jugs of juice and made sure everything was presented nicely. The american breakfast was delicious. The only downfall of the stay was that the room was far too hot, and we were not able to alter the temperature so the windows were open all night! We had a really nice stay over all though. Would definitely stay again if the rooms were £75 a night any time soon!

Room Tip: Best prices in the winter time

We booked this B&B deal as we were attending a wedding nearby. Our first impression of the room was good, nice decor and the bed was comfortable. Unfortunately things deteriorated after this. The water in the shower was Luke warm, I found a false fingernail on the floor and the toilet was grubby.
Sadly whilst we were there, the Uk suffered a storm and the White Swan lost electricity. Our room was very cold and we were unable to have our cooked breakfast. We were offered toast and cereal - apparently although there was gas to cook on, the extractor fan was not working thus preventing a full breakfast menu. I know that this event could not have been prevented but we were not offered any discount or offer of a return stay/meal - we did pay for the breakfast that we did not receive!

We stayed here as part of a wedding party for one night, the main areas of the hotel are well presented and are extensive enough for you to find some space and sit in comfort, the kids enjoyed the free table football game that was tucked away in a quiet corner.

The food we had for the meal was to a high standard and the evening buffet was to an equally high standard, there was a selection of real ale on offer along with some very nice cider.

Breakfast was generous and freshly cooked to order and the staff were very friendly.

The real let down came in the bedroom (Room 2), the bathroom was very hot as the towel rail was on constantly with not way to switch it off, there was paint peeling from the walls and black mould on the ceiling. The vanity unit was also looking tired as the MDF was expanding due to water soaking in. Then there was the shower, this one is a contender for the worst in a while, it appeared to be a pump fed shower as I could hear it running when the taps were turned on, but something must have been wrong, because all I could get was very low pressure luke warm water or high pressure freezing cold, neither was great! These things should be checked daily to ensure they are working correctly.

On the up side the room was at the back of the hotel and very quiet (we left the wedding last so no disco noise)

I would have given this a higher rating had the bathroom been to a better standard.

Room Tip: A quiet one on the back towards the west end of the building.

We dropped in for a late lunch and were really impressed. The food was good with my wife enjoying 'the best rump steak for a long time!'. Staff were excellent and very welcoming and the log burner added to the great atmosphere in the bar on a very wet and cold afternoon. We were sorry not to be staying for Afternoon Tea!
