“Wow, we'll be back!”
Reviewed 16 January 2011

Had lunch at the Town House in the quiet period between Christmas and New Year. The food was delicious, locally sourced where possible, and such good value at £18 for 3 courses! The service was prompt and friendly too. Everyone in our group, aged from 17 - 89, loved it, and it was such a beautifual setting with a beautiful old ceiling to the restaurant. I can thoroughly recommend the wild mushroom risotto, followed by Guinea fowl, my husband enthused about the partridge served with red cabbage and beetroot, while the youngest and oldest members of the party loved the pork. Desserts were fab too, orange panna cotta or Christmas pudding and almond tart. Total cost for 4 people, including 1 bottle wine, was about £90. We'll be back!

“A treat”
Reviewed 5 August 2010

Good food at a reasonable price.
Atmosphere is a bit lacking, and the noisy dishwasher in the bar area doesn't help!

“Don't miss this dining experience!”
Reviewed 30 July 2010

My husband and I have been regularly going to the Town House since Lee (the chef) did fantastic canapes for our wedding two years ago. We go on average once a month and have never been less than bowled over by the quality of the food or the overall experience.

The food is locally sourced and cooked to perfection by Lee (who was trained in top restaurants in London). The restaurant is wecoming and a pleasurable experience but is not pretentious in any way, the staff are friendly and atttentive.

I can't say much more than you will not be dissapointed. Book the Town House and have a fabulous time!

“Great food and very good value”
Reviewed 3 September 2009

Had dinner here on a Saturday evening - service is leisurely but attentive: your table is yours for the evening which is a pleasant surprise when you are used to London table turning practices. Food could not be faulted and the final bill was another pleasant surprise as did not seem to match the quality of what we had just consumed!
