Had lunch at the Town House in the quiet period between Christmas and New Year. The food was delicious, locally sourced where possible, and such good value at £18 for 3 courses! The service was prompt and friendly too. Everyone in our group, aged from 17 - 89, loved it, and it was such a beautifual setting with a beautiful old ceiling to the restaurant. I can thoroughly recommend the wild mushroom risotto, followed by Guinea fowl, my husband enthused about the partridge served with red cabbage and beetroot, while the youngest and oldest members of the party loved the pork. Desserts were fab too, orange panna cotta or Christmas pudding and almond tart. Total cost for 4 people, including 1 bottle wine, was about £90. We'll be back!
