A great day out to see remains of Roman Palace and also there's an Artifact Handling session where you get to feel centuries old artifacts. Great value and very welcoming!

Fishbourne Roman Palace, this wonderful piece of our heritage, should not be missed. The amazing mosaics and carefully laid out walkways around them give a fascinating glimpse into life in early Roman Britain, certainly for those with power and influence. The gardens give an excellent idea of the palace grounds and the museum building has a well laid out section to display artefacts. The entrance staff were most helpful and the Museum Guide was excellent, bringing the story of uncovering and preserving the floor to life, along with insights into how living here might have been for the inhabitants. I would recommend that visitors start with the video on arrival and don't miss the Discovery Centre opposite.

Well preserved roman site partially under cover, well maintained and easy to pass an hour with children and accessible to all ages worth a visit

I had heard about the palace but hadn't realised what a treasure this is. A fascinating and educational experience, bringing the palace to life, you feel that you get a real insight into Roman living. Don't miss the guided tours into the store and the garden, so knowledgeable I could have spent the day with our guide. A wonderful afternoon, thoroughly recommended

I am really not into history but I was really amazed by this visit. In addition to seeing the excavated site we were told a lot about the relationship between some local people with the Romans, the way the better off lived and, most importantly, how that information is obtained from archaeological digs. Be sure to see the introductory video before going around the site and ask to go on a guided tour of the Discovery Centre i.e. where the artifacts are cleaned and analysed.
