“Do not be put off by Other Reviews Try it for Yourself”

Firstly this attraction is for either kids (who will like it a lot in my opinion) or for adults with big cameras that they dont know how to use yet. To dissect the attraction into its various parts
1) Butterflies were good but not the main part of this
2) Birds were ok but do not expect too much here
3) The gardens i enjoyed mainly because they were under glass and a month or two ahead
4) The shipwreck museum - dont rely on this for much
5) The play area - very good in my opinion
6) The cafe i was actually impressed it delivered and was under pressure
7) The reptiles were ok
8) The small animals (guinea pigs, rabbits etc) were more enjoyable than i thought the would be
9) The nostalgia museum could be very VERY good but needs the mice getting rid of and a good cleanup (mainly to rid it of mouse faeces)

On the whole it is a thumbs up but please guys take note of the comments her on tripadvisor

“Disgusting!! AVOID”
Reviewed 20 April 2014

I was appalled when i visited this place today! The animals are kept in disgusting conditions, the museum items are covered in mouse faeces and mouldy, caved in ceilings. The roof leaves everywhere so there is no where dry inside. Gift shop?! They are having a laugh!!! Poor birds look so depressed, no enrichment for them. And as for the butterflies, i think we counted more dead than alive. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!!!!!

“Better than I hoped”
Reviewed 10 April 2014 via mobile

I went here with family and none of us expected much, but it was much better than we expected. It's not a big place but good for children with activities for them and also enough for adults to be interested with a shipwreck and nostalgia museum.

“BADLY IN NEED OF COMPLETE REFURBISHMENT”
Reviewed 6 April 2014

I was well aware from previous reviews that this was not going to be a 5 Star location. First of all some of the good points, the couple of staff we spoke to were helpful and knowledgeable about the place, we used the toilets - very clean, used the cafe - in fact we were the only people in the cafe but it was good; the kids that I saw all seemed to be very happy - however the adults with them all had negative comments.
The Butterfly & Bird house were 'ok', nothing special. The gardens were a bit 'samey' and very amateurish - with some work they could be excellent.
The Shipwreck area is a total waste of time, nothing more to be said about it really.
My biggest disappointment was the museum, it was terrible. I wonder when was the last time somebody considering dusting anything? Worse of all was all the mouse/rat droppings in most of the areas of the museum - surely someone has noticed this? In some of the tableuxs the floor area was full of droppings!
The place should not be open for 2014 - close it down for a couple of months to work on it.
