“They don't care”
Reviewed 14 March 2014

Inexperienced waiting staff, uncooked 'shoestring fries', greasy onion rings. We have visited before, but lately they seem to have stopped caring. Sent our meals back to get the chips cooked properly, but they were served again in the same stodgy raw state. Really not worth a second visit.

“Beats the big names hands down”
Reviewed 11 March 2014

My son introduced me to this little gem of a place on South Street and I'm glad he did. Our burgers were brilliant, we had a great view of the street from our window seats (well worth it) and the price was about £15 per head including soft drinks. I'll definitely visit again.

We visited for a late lunch/early dinner. And decided to book in advance as we know it can get very busy.
The service was fantastic and the food was even better. The waitress was very friendly and chatty and couldn't have been more polite.
The food came out in good time was piping hot and tasted fantastic. Although some people say on here it's an over priced McDonald's, I would have to disagree with this as its fresh and tasty and doesn't come wrapped in paper!

I would definitely recommend anyone who is planning on visiting to book in advance so you can guarantee a place as it does get busy in the evenings.

We will definitely be returning in the near future :)

“great music average burgers”
Reviewed 6 March 2014 via mobile

The burger itself was over cooked and bland as was the chili that came with it. The pulled pork tasted like nothing but jarred bbq sauce. The onion rings didn't taste of onions but old fat. But the music was good and good to see longman brewery beers.

“Great Food - Awful Music”
Reviewed 28 February 2014 via mobile

At the top of a long flight of appetite-making stairs is this quirky Burger 'restaurant' which doesn't really know what it is.
Is it an American Diner ? No
Is it a deluxe Wimpy ? Possibly
Are the burgers good ? Unquestionably so - except that you can't specify anything other than 'medium'. Our arrived medium-rare and were good - nowhere near as good as the NYC '5 Napkin' ones though. Good fries ( for the UK).
Over-attentive service. Absolutely awful music - totally non-complementary. Good to see Longman Brewery beers available.
