“First but won't be the last visit”
Reviewed 16 May 2014

Juicy beautifully cooked burger, we had the Swiss and the goatie, both served with fries. Good and friendly service. Place was packed with a nice atmosphere. Reasonably priced and will definitely visit again.

“OK for a quick burger but nothing to shout about”
Reviewed 12 May 2014

On the plus side the burger did taste of flame grilled beef and the service was attentive and engaging.

On the negative side the taste of the added-value bits was poor. I had a Vive La France burger - the melted brie added little and the caramelized onions weren't caramelized at all - straight from a tin I'd suspect.

At £8.75 for the burger I'd say this was not good value.

£4.50 for a not very big milkshake. Seriously NOPE. That's about £2 too much and loses you our future business.

“Food Ok but....”
Reviewed 23 April 2014

Just had a quick bite to eat in the Real Burger Kitchen. The food was ok, however the service was poor.
Our plates and knives and forks were taken away and our mains brought out, but no sign of any cutlery as the waiting staff seemed to spend a lot of time in the kitchen preparing drinks rather than waiting we then had to wait a couple of minutes to catch their eye again to get some cutlery.
Finished the main and were asked if we wanted to see the dessert menu, we asked to see it, twenty minutes later no sign of it so when we finally caught their eye we asked for the bill.
The tap in the gents was broken, am hoping the staff have a separate toilet with working tap. I did point out that the tap was broken but the waiter said it's only just broken, the green copper staining told a different story.
So the food was good but as eating out requires good service can only give two stars.
I am hoping that the restaurant is not still owned by the same person who opened it as his eateries used to be among some of the best in the area but this falls well short of his previous standards.
