Good location for getting to Goodwood, the room we were in was basically fine for our needs with adequate facilities, i.e. Hair drier, trouser press and tea making facilities. The staff were all very good if not a bit thin on the ground at times, bar and reception not always manned but always helpful. Breakfast for the pre-booked price was fine and value for money, so save yourself £3, pre-book it and go up to the buffet as many times as you like. Would use again if the need arises.

The hotel has a general run down feeling coupled with the smallest and most uncomfortable bed I've ever slept in. Also the walls are paper thin and you can hear the slightest noise from your neighbours.

Overall I left having had a terrible nights sleep and would definitely not go back.

With my daughter's wedding venue only 15 minutes up the road this hotel seemed an ideal location for some of the guests to stay overnight. The booking was made quite early on and we were quoted the standard overnight rate even though there may have been a clash with Goodwood Horse racing when I believe the rates may rise by quite a %. Some be warned avoid Goodwood week if you are considering staying..
The hotel receptionists were friendly and helpful just the kind of folk you want at front of house. However all the other members of staff seemed almost surly just content to get on with their work and unwilling or unable to pass the time of day with you.
My daughter booked a table for 12 of us for her final evening meal as a single and I found the restaurant was efficient and the food was good but once again there was no atmosphere and the staff were there to do a job and did it well enough, but would not enter into any passing the time of day.
Some of us retired to the bar after dinner and we had to wait and wait some more for a barman. We rang the bell and waited, someone else rang the bell and waited and In the end one of our party went to reception to enquire. We were served but there was no recognition that we had been kept waiting, no apology.
One other thing I did point out in the hotel customer satisfaction survey was that there may be a safety issue with the paving outside. Some of the slabs were loose or cracked and one particular kerb stone definitely needed replacing. If not I could forsee an accident occurring. Also to give better appeal to guests the weeds could do with treating.
The carpets on the stairs and landing could do with steam cleaning to get rid of the stains and the décor in the rooms has seen better days.
This may seem like a totally negative review but I am only pointing out what others must see. Having said all that if you are after a hotel, no frills, clean rooms and reasonable food and prices then you could do worse than stay here.

I made a large booking of 7 rooms for a group trip to nearby Goodwood races. The reception managed all the bookings and bills very well and were polite and helpful. The hotel has a mismatched shabby air to the corridors and rooms, however they were clean, and did the job with ironing boards and tea/coffee provided. The TVs were fine. My bed had a great memory foam mattress but not all rooms had this. All the people I booked in complained about the lack of a duvet and this needs addressing by the management. I notice it is a common complaint. Some people used the jacuzzi and said it was fine. We had dinner one evening and the food was good with enormous portions at a fair price. The bar is large and again the drinks are a fair price for a hotel. I felt the price of £90 was perhaps a little high for the quality of room but obviously it goes up at race times. The hotel is next to a Sainsburys who do a good breakfast in the cafe, however guests who ate at the hotel for breakfast said it was quite good. There is great parking here as there are lots of extra spaces around the back of the hotel, all provided free. I would say we had no complaints other than bedding. Be aware local taxis charge double to take you to the races at Goodwood but you will hopefully win the money back on a good horse! We got an 8 seater taxi into town for £9 in the evening.

I was a little apprehensive about staying here after reading the reviews, but my stay was fine in the end.
For sure the hotel is looking a little weathered, but i was fortunate to be put in one of the newly decorated rooms which was pleasant and very clean and also there is free wifi if you ask for a code.
It would be nice to have a duvet instead of a heavy bed topper, but it was a warm summers evening so wasn't a problem.

The breakfast an average hotel breakfast with cooked English breakfast, cereals, toast, teas and coffee etc. If anything, this room was a little dated, but it was fine and served it's purpose.

The staff were all polite.

This hotel is fine if you are staying for business or as a base.

We had our wedding reception at Chichester Park Hotel and it was absolutely wonderful! The wedding reception room looked absolutely stunning with the Martini glass table centrepieces with flowers in (flowers by Fleur de Lis in Bognor) and the tea lights, as well as the covered chairs with sash matched to our wedding colours. We chose the hotel largely because the room was perfect for a Ceilidh dance in the evening as it is so big, but it also looked absolutely beautiful personalised for the wedding. So many people commented on how spectacular it looked with all the flowers and other touches, and we couldn't have imagined it more beautiful.

The staff at Chichester Park Hotel are brilliant and Dean took care everything. Planning a wedding was so much less stressful because the hotel look after so much for you - including making lovely colour menu cards to put in with invitations, designing a table plan and making table names. Everything was done with such care as they even incorporated the fonts and images that we had used in our invitations so it all matched. Nothing was too much trouble as Dean kindly set out the mass of decorations and favours that we brought in the day before - even an Easter Egg Hunt!

The food was also amazing throughout - the Wedding Breakfast was beautifully served, hot and very delicious, and the Evening Buffet was wonderful. They produced such a fantastic spread of freshly cooked food that looked so appetizing - I was only sad I was too full to eat more of it by that point!

During our stay at the hotel, we felt looked after the whole time and the room that we stayed in was beautiful and lovely to have a little sofa area too. The breakfast too was wonderful with a hot buffet, cereals and yoghurt, as well as toast and a range of drinks - it was all served really appealingly and was a great treat to start the day!

Overall, we want to say a huge thank you to Chichester Park for such a wonderful wedding reception that was just so enjoyable and worry-free. We would wholeheartedly recommend choosing it as a wedding venue!

was just wonderful and reasonable we stayed there 4 nights as I am slightly disabled was lovely to have a walk in shower and raised toilet and a good height bed. The breakfasts were first-class and plenty of choice We had dinner every night and were never disappointed with the food .
There is a bus stop outside of the hotel so no problems with parking in Chichester.
