“Definitely a pub worth a visit.”
Reviewed 29 January 2013

Definitely a pub worth a visit. Staff are friendly. We had a lovely Sunday lunch, my only complaint was too much on the plate! Several really good ales on too including a guest Ale at 3.6. I do hope sub 4% Ale is making a comeback.

Nice atmosphere with locals and the odd 4 legged friend too, Try it.

“Great Sunday lunch”
Reviewed 21 January 2013

This pub has a really nice atmosphere and feels like a "proper" pub. Went for the first time yesterday, based on a recommendation, and we were not disappointed. Food was great and reasonably priced, good selection of real ales, and service friendly and quick. Will definitely be going back when next in the area. Best Sunday lunch I've had in a while.

“Friendly to humans and dogs!”
Reviewed 29 December 2012

We planned to eat here one Wednesday eve before Christmas but unfortunately they weren't serving as they had Christmas parties in. We stayed for a couple of drinks anyway as it was a nice friendly place with a good atmosphere. We tried some of the nuts they do as bar snacks which were good and a nice touch - they had pork scratchings, scotch eggs etc - traditional style snacks - great! We had our dog with us and he was more than welcome with a couple of other dogs in the bar uncluding the pubs resident boxer - who was very friendly and cute!!
Will definately return for food another time as its been recommended to us and want to go back to what is a nice change to far too many chain pubs.

“Hidden Treasure”
Reviewed 23 November 2012 via mobile

We came to Chichester for a spot of Christmas shopping as the mrs has never been.
Hunger struck and we spotted the sign offering home cooked food and pointing us to the Park Tavern. Tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the busy streets we found this delightful establishment with it's welcoming atmosphere.
There's plenty to look at, delightful staff and the food was amazing and exactly what we were after: Good portions, reasonably priced and plenty to choose from.
I had the homemade burger (topped with blue cheese & bacon) which is served with PROPER onion rings and fries!
Delicious.
She loved Chichester and when we next return we will definitely be dining at the PT!
