Description: Tucked away in a pretty square behind St Pancras church, our restaurant offers a wonderfully light, yet cosy space to stop for coffee, meet friends for lunch, or enjoy a special dinner. In sunny weather a glass of bubbly or a cocktail al fresco is the perfect way to make the most of the terrace. If you are looking for fabulous French food served in a relaxed and welcoming setting then look no further than this very special little brasserie.

“Lovely location and good service - but food disappointing ”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 August 2014 via mobile

Popped in late afternoon after looking around Chichester and the surrounding area. Situated in a relatively new development just off the high street, with parking directly behind, the restaurant is very attractive. There is good seating outside which is where we sat.

Service was good and out waitress was, Olivia, was very friendly and efficient. We ordered a fig and cheese tarte and burger. The tarte was lovely, but rather small for a main course. The burger looked lovely and was cooked medium in a brioche bun. However it was under seasoned and bland. Fries were crisp and fresh though. On this visit I have still noted this to be average rather than poor as the fig and cheese tarte was very good if a little on the small side for a main course and the service was excellent. However, I would probably not order a burger again at Brasserie Blanc.

“One of the best...”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 August 2014

We stumbled upon this restaurant. We expected average, off-the-shelf food. We couldn't have been more wrong. The menu was delicately seasonal. The cucumber gazpacho encapsulated the taste of everything fresh and invigorating, I have never tasted a better gazpacho. How hugely original to offer stuffed lamb's heart and how brave. I hope it works for them. My wife assures me that it was "terrific". My daughter and I tucked into the bestest of barbary duck fused magnificently with a gloriously acidic concoction of plums. Our waitress suggested raspberry souffle....we are on our knees to thank her. It was, in the words of the much missed Mr Winner, historic. If you are looking to eat terrific food in Chichester, and at a reasonable price, make a bee-line for this super restaurant.

“Classy food in a nice atmosphere”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 August 2014 via mobile

First visit here and I was expecting something special. On arrival, I thought the atmosphere was low key and cafe-like. If you expect a stuffy feel then you will be disappointed, this restaurant is friendly and fun. The food is classy but not too fancy for a pie n chips guy like me. The Mrs was raving over her spicy duck, hence the 5 star rating. It is quite pricey but not ridiculous and the set menu provides a cost effective route; the wine is expensive across the board. It is an enjoyable night out.

“Good reliable fare”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 July 2014 credit card Amex Cardmember Review

We booked for a Saturday lunchtime pre-theatre and we went with the set menu, including a glass of wine. Pretty good value overall and good tasty food. Service was friendly too. Good solid place for a simple, affordable lunch.

“Generally very good”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 July 2014

We have eaten here quite a few times over the past few years. The food is usually very good and the service excellent. Slightly let down this time by a very boring raspberry mousse (which was a bit of jelly with a tasteless sloppy mixture on top) but I have had a blackcurrant mousse in the past which was excellent.
