Description: Amelie and Friends is an independent restaurant situated in a handsome Georgian building right in the centre of Chichester (where Arthur Purchase & Son and The Dining Room used to be). We are close to the Festival Theatre and the St Cyriacs and Northgate car parks. The stylish interior combines Georgian high ceilings and period features with modern building materials and designer furniture. Come and bask in our large secluded courtyard garden planted with olive trees and mediterranean herbs. All our food is prepared in our own kitchen from fresh ingredients, and the menu features a mix of classics done very well plus some quirky and more adventurous dishes. Our delicious handmade wine is sourced from small organic producers from around the world. Our friendly and knowledgeable front of house team will look after you extremely well.

“Superb food in lovely atmosphere, a perfect lunch!”
Reviewed 2 November 2013 via mobile

We came for an unplanned lunch whilst shopping and really can recommend Amelies. We had 3 different mains - venison burger, (10/10 as voted by daughter 1) fish cakes and poached egg (100/100 - daughter 2) and the quiche of the day served with a delicious pumpkin salad and house salad with roast vegetables.

Everything we ate was perfectly prepared and served and portion sizes were generous. We love this restaurant and recommend it fully!

“Well done”
Reviewed 1 November 2013

Having eaten in many restaurants, and worked within the industry for many years, I was pleasantly surprised by this establishment, at last a non branded restaurant in chichester, excellent service with a mix of young and older heads, tasty food - home cooked, wine list a bit limited, if not a fan of organic wine!!!

“Excellent venue for lunch in Chichester”
Reviewed 31 October 2013

After many thoughts about adding to our usual selection of Chichester restaurants, we booked for lunch at Amelie & Friends. We had a first rate experience. We had a two course meal and a pleasing house white wine. Yvonne (co-owner) was delightful and popped over for a great chat about Scilily, so I had to pick the Affogato pudding --which I thoroughly enjoyed.
We will definitely be going back soon!
Don't forget to book, as all tables were occupied on Friday lunchtime.

“Lovely Birthday Lunch”
Reviewed 29 October 2013

Came here [ second year in a row] for my birthday lunch and again had a lovely meal, nicely cooked and well presented. We all had the smoked applewood cheese souffle and lemongrass parfait to follow, both of which we enjoyed. We found the service to be attentive and friendly and the manageress was more than happy to chat as we left. I like the decor and ambience. A very satisfying lunch on every level.

“Recommendation”
Reviewed 28 October 2013

Had a very lovely meal at the weekend at Amelie & Friends. The staff were very professional and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. The food was lovely, good portion sizes and the restaurant atmosphere was very relaxing all. A very lovely way to spend a lunchtime, I would recommend it to everyone and an added bonus for those with a taste card, you can use it here. Big thank you to all the staff !
