Description: Amelie and Friends is an independent restaurant situated in a handsome Georgian building right in the centre of Chichester (where Arthur Purchase & Son and The Dining Room used to be). We are close to the Festival Theatre and the St Cyriacs and Northgate car parks. The stylish interior combines Georgian high ceilings and period features with modern building materials and designer furniture. Come and bask in our large secluded courtyard garden planted with olive trees and mediterranean herbs. All our food is prepared in our own kitchen from fresh ingredients, and the menu features a mix of classics done very well plus some quirky and more adventurous dishes. Our delicious handmade wine is sourced from small organic producers from around the world. Our friendly and knowledgeable front of house team will look after you extremely well.

This was our first visit to this restaurant and it won't be our last. The belly pork was special, could have done with a little more seasoning in the gravy, however, you can add it but you can't take it away. Loved the tian of crab and prawns and the duck and mango salad. Choice of sorbets was excellent and also the affogato. The catered really well for a dairy free diet without advanced notice.

The ambience in the restaurant at lunchtime was really nice, lovely and light with doors leading out into the small garden area. Compliments to the staff who were efficient and pleasant. Looking forward to a return visit soon.

Friday lunch time visit. After joining the loyalty club we decided to use our £10 voucher of a lunch time visit. Food was as always top class and the service very polite and fast. Apart from being sat next to a loud table of would be yuppy woman ( not appreciated mr waiter) it was as always a pleasure to eat here. Please keep up the great vegetarian selection.

We came here after buying a voucher on Travelzoo...... I have to say it was completely worth every penny (maybe more!!)

With the voucher you get a 3 course meal where you can chose anything on the menu (some dishes you will have to pay an extra £2-3 for as there is a set price for the voucher)

Everything I chose tasted amazing, there was plenty of it and the service we received was excellent.
A dish that is well worth a mention is the Pimms jelly and Cucumber sorbet, a beautiful twist on a traditional dessert and soooo refreshing!

The restaurant has good décor and atmosphere would recommend this place to anyone.

Not a long menu, but top marks for quality. For a Saturday you will really have to book - walk-ins were turned away while we were there but, despite this, we weren't rushed. Will return.
