We had a big family gathering at Chichester over the bank holiday. We did not want to stay in a hotel and we found this place - we stayed in the Engine Room. It was pure delight; I reluctantly left each day for other events and tourism, but in reality I wanted to stay there the whole three nights. The room was warm and intimate, clean, cosy and comfortable. The kitchen was functional, the laundry nearby and the setting peaceful (literally the bird song will wake you). The wireless was not great, but I quickly turned that into an advantage. A trip high point; reluctant to share it with others and would happily return.

Room Tip: Any of them will do, but the Engine Room is perfect for two and wakes to the rising sun

We booked into Hunston Mill after changing from a hotel in Bognor last minute due to the bad reviews I read in Trip Advisor.
Hunston Mill offered everything we were looking for on paper, a great price to go with it and no extra cost for poochies.
We arrived to Hunston Mill early and the housekeeping lady was just finishing when we arrived. The greeting was lovely a warm and the Engine Cottage smelt fresh and like polish.
This cottage is small but perfectly formed with everything you could need for a month, let alone the one night.
You walk in to the bedroom/living room with a TV, sofa and lovely comfy double bed. There is a mock wood burner which heats up the whole cottage very quickly. To the right is the cutest kitchen area with lovely cupcake curtains and all the facilities you require and more for a self catering accommodation. The bathroom was nice and clean with towels provided.
The only two negatives I could offer are that the cottage could do with a little modernisation as it has rustic charm but then in places it just feels a little tired; the other would be the wifi - it is advertised as free wifi and the login details are provided in the cottage however not one of our devices could pick up the network which is disappointing when advertised.
All in all a thoroughly pleasant stay and we couldn't have asked for much more - delightful!

Even with a very last minute booking on an off season Friday night, everything was all ready for when we arrived the next day.

The cottage was perfectly clean, very cosy and had everything you'd want for a weekend break. Very friendly owners who explained everything when we arrived.

There's a mini shop on site, very helpful if you've forgotten any of the essentials.

The grounds are lovely with swings and trampolines for the little ones and a BBQ area I'm sure would be great if you came during the summer.

Perfect location so close to west wittering beach. WIll definitely stay here again.

I stayed here for one night during the working week. I arrived quite late at night after a work function and had to leave very early the next morning to be in Chichester for 8.30am, The owners called during the evening and left a voice message about how I could find the keys to the Cottage and where to park: Thank you! Really helpful.

The Courtyard Cottage we stayed in was made up of 2 floors; the ground floor had a small kitchen (with fridge, microwave, sink etc) & lounge/dining area (with sofa and seat and TV etc). The stairs lead to the main large double bed and then the separate WC and bath with shower attachment. In the double bedroom is also a comfortable sofa and dressing table. The central heating system worked very well and there are also open-able windows throughout. What I love about this place is the ability to cook or prepare food while staying in the cottage which is an added bonus.

The Hunston Mill is only a 7 minute drive to Chichester town centre, however leave a bit of extra time for morning peak hour traffic as some of the roundabouts can have short queues.

I'd definitely return to Hunston Mill Cottages next time in Chichester.

We went there for a long weekend in September and we have had excellent time! The owners are very nice and helpful (they even arranged some sunshine for us ;-)! The site is just spot on...clean, beautiful and conveniently located. Definitely to recommend and to revisit!

We stayed in Mill Top apartment for three nights in July alond with our dog Bella. The apartment was clean, very comfortable and had all we required for a relaxing break. The owners are friendly and helpfull. The garden is lovely with lots of little peacefull spots to relax in if you wished. The fenced off dog area was brilliant for us as we could take the dog there when needed without disturbance to others staying. This is a lovely area with lots of places to visit within an easy drive, we especially liked West Wittham beach which is beautiful. We would deffinately stay again and reccomend it to anyone lookind for comfortable good quality accomodation in a lovely part of West Sussex.

Room Tip: The Mill apartments are a litle further away from the road.

We stayed in the Engine House with our 2 small dogs for 3 nights.
While this particular unit was very small, we had everything we needed, although I think we would have found it difficult with the dogs if the weather hadn't been as good as it was.
I think we will definately stay there again, but would choose one of the bigger cottages. The owners had thought of just about everything, and there is nothing you could need that they couldn't supply - there was even an enclosed paddock to let the dogs run about in, although they were welcome to roam all around the grounds.
The cottages are in a very good location and you are very close to the beach, as well as the larger towns and plenty of walks.

Room Tip: Although the cottage we stayed in was perfect for us short-term, if we were staying for a week or mo...
