“Shooting Day”
Reviewed 12 November 2013

Had an excellent day pigeon shooting organised by the Fox Goes Free, starting with breakfast a days shooting and followed by an early dinner. All splendid and helped along by smiling helpful staff and the pub itself is lovely too.

We stayed the night and had breakfast. Really nice English pub with open fires etc. Our room was spotless. Breakfast was delish. Nice rural location. Full of character. Friendly staff.

“Best Sunday roast we've had in a long time”
Reviewed 3 November 2013

Visited with our son and future daughter in law after visiting Goodwood House Hotel whilst looking at their wedding venue. Best Sunday roast we've had in a long time, and my wife and I eat out a lot....

What else is there to say other than at a reasonable price too

“Excellent food and service”
Reviewed 2 November 2013

This pub serves some of the best food in the area. My parents, including a vegetarian, always enjoy eating here. Obviously it's not serving gourmet, it's a pub, but it is delicious. Try to avoid going when Goodwood has any events on, it will be packed. Nice in the summer to sit outside by the fields and nice in the winter when the fires are going. Recommended.

“4 Dinners & breakfasts”
Reviewed 30 October 2013

Stayed 4 nights in room 5. Great breakfasts & excellent dinners. You can dine in the bar or in either of two restaurants. Extensive menu, including vegetarian choices that are much more interesting than others I have seen, which meant both my wife & I were well satisfied. Fish pie & the lasagne were standouts.
Staff attentive & friendly without being in your face.

Most enjoyable stay - thanks.
