“Very faulty towers! ”
Reviewed 4 May 2014 via mobile

Despite calling in advance to book for 16 confirmed people with the chance of there bring more on the night, they really weren't geared up for such a large party of people. Two hours in and some of us had been given a drink. After threatening to leave, we were promised better service and only a shirt wait for food. Three hours in we eventually got out food. I can honestly say I will never go there again. Very disappointing.

“Very good food but poor service in this Indian restaurant on way out of town centre”
Reviewed 12 March 2014

It was a great shame about the poor service as the food was very good with some very interesting dishes I have not seen on regular menus. When we arrived at this restaurant early on a Sunday evening it was almost empty but the staff seemed more interested in dealing with take away orders as they came in or just generally fiddling with their phones rather than serving us real live punters! It took us around an hour to get our food.
Just as well that the food was so good as it brought the overall score up to average. Salmon Pura and Tandoori Quail starters were both very good as were the quite unique Chot Poti (chopped boiled egg with tamarind and chick peas) and the Lamb Momos (mashed lamb with potato wrapped in Tibetan style dumplings). Lamb Tikka Tetul was very good with a great tangy and spicy tamarind sauce as were the Bindi Bahji and sag aloo. The Chicken Dansak was decidedly average though being too sweet and not hot or tangy enough.
The general consensus of our party of 4 was that it was overall a very poor experience and they would have marked it down even further, but I thought the quality and uniqueness of the food deserved some credit. Being further from the city centre you would expect them to try abit harder on the service front.

“Post Christmas treat!”
Reviewed 14 January 2014

We live just round the corner from this restaurant and wanted to treat ourselves to an Indian meal over Christmas. Based on reviews we decide to try this one out. It's not in the centre of town...but what a treat. Fairly plain decor inside though very pleasant, but the food was fabulous and lots of it. Now trying to plan a re-visit.

“Hidden Gem”

Staff very attentive, food delicious, bill very reasonable. Not as hectic as the Indian restaurants nearer the town and well worth a visit.

“Good Food, Incredible Value For Money”
Reviewed 8 January 2014

Ate here last month - service was attentive and it had a nice atmosphere.

The starters and sundries were all of a very high standard, I wasn't bowled over by the flavour of the sauces, but a great experience all in all.

I was shocked to receive the bill for less than £40, given that we'd enjoyed drinks, starters, rice, naan and main dish each. I asked the waiter to double check that he'd added everything, which he had, so very happily left a large tip.
