“Worth Seeking Out”
Reviewed 16 April 2014

Visited this small cafe today, it is tucked down a passageway near to the turn off East Street beside Marks & Spencer. We only came across it by chance, having seen the A - Frame sign. There is inside and outside seating. We were greeted with a warm welcome and the chalk board showed a small but interesting range of freshly prepared special meals on the day, plus the usual range of cakes etc. Fairly priced and worth seeking out.

“A gem of a find - highly recommended!”
Reviewed 1 December 2013 via mobile

Hungry and wanting decent food at a good price, we took a punt on this little hidden away cafe, down a lane off East Street. We got lucky - this is one fantastic little spot. All food is home cooked and super fresh, the service outstanding and friendly and the price very good indeed.

Our eight year old wanted a hot chocolate - duly delivered promptly and tailored to his taste. He was impressed! He also requested a sausage sandwich, also delivered promptly and it hit the mark - and we're talking a very fussy eight year old! My partner and I had earl grey tea and peppermint tea together with the soup of the day. For £4.50, we had had a good sized bowl of absolutely delicious home cooked vegetable soup with bacon in and a decent chunk of bread with butter. Couldn't have found better at home - superb.

The owner is absolutely lovely and at the time of writing has owned this cafe for three years. She told us that she had bought in three years ago when the place was run down and slowly but surely, she's doing it up and doing a great job. We will be back there before we leave West Sussex for our home town of Perth for sure. Cannot recommend this enough - great find.
