This was my first stay at a Premier Inn. I was very impressed and would you this company in the future. The staff were friendly and helpful, and everything was easy and straight forward. It was very good and I could recommend it.

We have stayed at Premier Inn hotels before and always found them comfortable and the staff very good and reasonably priced - that's why we use them. This one at Chichester was no different. Couldn't fault the accommodation. It was clean, comfortable with not a lot of frills but we don't want frills, just a place to rest at night.

However, for the first time we decided to go for the "meal deal" option which is breakfast and evening meal for one price. Sounds good and it would be good except that 50% of the evening meal menu is not included in the "meal deal".
You can choose only certain dishes while other dishes are, for some unknown reason, forbidden even though they cost the same or in some cases less. The menu is not exactly extensive so cutting out half of it leaves limited choice. It is OK if you are staying just one night but a stay of three nights or more would see you choosing the same food twice depending on your taste.

The food itself was acceptable although nothing to write home about but the service was very poor. Everyone had to wait ages for each course to be served. One table had to wait almost an hour for their sweet to arrive. At times there seemed to be a lot of staff but they disappeared for long lengths of tme. At other times there simply was not enough staff. One evening we arrived in the restaurant and shown to our table whereupon the waiter gave us his name and said that he would be our waiter for the evening. We never saw him again! The two best and most hard working of the staff were the two wearing "In Training" badges.

It is not as though the restaurant, if you can call it that, is any size. With 83 rooms it is tiny (about 12 tables) so that if all guests used the restaurant at the same time it would be standing room only. The best thing about the food was the breakfast which was very good. Eat as much as you want (although not a good idea to pig out early in the morning) and quick service.

We will definitely stay at Premier Inn again but evening meals will be taken elsewhere.

I have rated the Sevice as "Poor" to reflect the restaurant and its "meal deal" idea. Otherwise it would be "Excellent".

We went to the theatre in Chichester and wanted a hotel in the centre of the town and up popped the Premier Inn. We have never used them before but were amazed at the very high standard given. The staff were very welcoming. The check in quick and efficient. The room large, clean and modern with an excellent en-suite. The parking was excellent. All for such a good price. What more could you ask for. We only wanted a bed for the night. Well done. We shall definitely use other Premier Inn hotels.

Room Tip: They did it all, we just turned up. Tell them what you want and trust them. We did. It was great.

The hotel is on the edge of the Leisure Park, around 10 minutes walk from the centre of Chichester, so a great location for exploring the city. There is plenty of free car parking outside the hotel.

We'd booked well ahead and prepaid to get one of the saver rates. Our reception was friendly though unusually for this chain we weren't asked about breakfast (we hadn't booked & didn't use the hotel) - times were on the card with the room number and key. Our room was one of the largest we have encountered at a Premier Inn with a bed to match. It was clean, comfortable and everything worked. One minor criticism is the low-energy (CFL) bedside lights that take ages to get to maximum brightness which is still on the "dim" side. There were spots in the ceiling above the table which were much more effective. We also found that towels were changed after one night, despite the usual "green" notice on the towel rail (where we'd left the towels so hadn't wanted them changed). As usual, no problem in getting extra supplies of tea, decaff, etc from reception.

All in all, well up to usual Premier Inn standards.

The Chichester Premier Inn is well-located and has excellent parking. This is a good place whether for business or tourism. This is an excellent value chain, I have never been disappointed by the rooms and indeed the breakfasts.
