Über central, cute little boutique pub and b&b. stayed here with work on a few occasions and always had great service and slept really well. Breakfasts are big, lots of options for veggies and non veggies alike. Rooms have all the usual mod cons and great bathrooms. Walking distance from town square so perfect location for work or holiday visit.

Room Tip: All the ones I have stayed in so far have been fab

What a find! If you want somewhere to eat and drink in warm, friendly surroundings with the added bonus of somewhere tastefully and stylishly decorated to rest your head, then this fits the bill perfectly. Highly convenient location, great food and staff that are attentive and friendly but not overbearing! Alternative down the road looks great but puts George and Dragon into a good price bracket. Well worth a visit, thanks!

Highly recommended. A proper bar with a real fire and a sofa making a welcoming corner. Lunch was good, breakfast was uncomplicated and good. The room, overlooking noisy smokers courtyard was in poor state of decor and had been created by a man...no proper toiletries just a slither of soap and a gel...no conditioner, no long mirror, poor dressing table, tiny, leaky, bit grubby shower and killer steps in the dark from bed to bathroom. And yet...excellent shower, really comfy big bed with nice sheets and bar closed prompt 11pm. Staff were superb from busy bar, breakfast service and cleaner. All lovely. Had good nights sleep and would very happily recommend and stay again.

Stayed here for one Friday night in November whilst attending a evening function at the Cathedral. The rooms, at the back of the Inn, have their own off street access for when the pub is closed. Being former a coach house, the ceiling of the ground floor room was low yet the room was large with an extremely comfortable double bed with what can only be described as a huge tv on the wall in front.

The impressive size of the room however was a direct opposite to the tiny - nay minuscule - size of the en- suite shower room. Actually quite claustrophobic. Badly designed to - one was unable to get into the shower without shutting the door first. Even being of average height, the shower head touched the ceiling before I could get under it. Also, the extractor fan was rather loud & went on for quite a while after the lights were turned off.

There is some noise from the beer garden during licensed hours - but the dies down well before you want to hit the pillow. Wifi is free, once you are registered with The Cloud provider & access restricted if adolescents are part of your group.

Breakfast was, for a small venue, quite impressive. A wide choice with a excellent full English at its heart.
The room was impeccably clean, even the extractor fan was clean - which is often missed in many a 4 star hotel.

Overall, good location, good night's sleep & a welcome breakfast in the morning. All in all little to complain about in the grand scheme of things.

I stayed at the George and Dragon for one night for business and have to say it was excellent value for money.

The hotel is situated right in Chichester town centre, meaning that it's handily located for food, pubs and there's a cinema not too far away too.

I checked in quickly, though I did have to ask for a receipt, and was shown to my room, which was clean, large and modern. Standard hotel amenities were provided, including decent wifi and towel. The accommodation is through the bar and in a converted barn building in the back, split into three blocks of four rooms, two on each of the two floors.

The morning after I was served a very good full English breakfast, and there were continental options laid out to help myself to. I noted that the waiter was very attentive at taking other guests custom orders, which is a good sign. Only slight criticism is that the breakfast was served in the conservatory extension on the main building, meaning that first thing in the morning in October, it was very cold. I ate breakfast with my coat on.

Overall, for £55, it was great value and would absolutely stay again.

Stayed on a Saturday night after watching King Lear at the Minerva. Just what we needed. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. There is parking nearby. We didn't eat there in the evening as the menu felt a bit meat heavy (we don't eat meat) but the breakfast was spot on; have the scrambled eggs with smoked salmon. Will definitely go back next time we are down this way for the theatre.

Stayed here on business; 3 nights a week for 4 months. I booked in for the first week as it was all I could get but very quickly realised that it is an absolute gem and booked out my stay there. Great, friendly staff. Comfortable, well equipped rooms, good selection of beers in the bar. Excellent breakfasts and very good restaurant. I didn't eat there often as I am vegetarian and they don't offer much in that area but with so many restaurants within 5 or 10 minutes walk, that wasn't a problem.
I will be returning (for pleasure rather than business) in the future.
