“Excellent Value in Centre of City”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 May 2014

Cherry End is just great: Steve and Fiona are lovely and welcoming (although we didn't get to meet the dog on our one night stay!); the location is within walking distance of all the attractions of this beautiful city but is on a quiet side street; parking is easy; Steve's breakfast is superb; and our room was lovely and well appointed and excellent value for money. The only issue for us was that Cherry End is fully booked on the dates of our next visit and we don't want to stay anywhere else!

Good value. quiet, clean, lovely breakfast, very welcoming host and his dog Monty is gorgeous. Only a short walk into city centre with lots to see there like the museum Cathedral Roman walls, Bishops palace gardens and lovely shops

Room Tip: only two rooms one with a shower one with a large bathroom both nice

We took an Impromptu weekend to Chichester which had been on our list for some while as a place to visit and found that most, especially the boutique B and B's were booked. Cherry End at £70/night is between £10 and £20 cheaper than the other B&Bs we tried and so we thought we would give it a go.
It is located very conveniently for the centre of Chichester with a just a short but pleasant stroll through the market area to the centre of the town. Parking is for 1 car on the drive, the other room residents being given a parking permit for the quiet road immediately outside, a perfectly acceptable arrangement.
Our room was well appointed with a king bed in a spacious room with a good sized en-suite, twin basins, bidet and the rest but a bit of an iffy shower over a bath. Once we got the trick of this non thermostatic shower, it was fine.
Breakfast was a full English with a choice of eggs preceded my a nice yoghurt, fruit juice, toast and conserves and cereals and good coffee made to order.
For the ultra clean there were a couple of places that could have received a little more attention and those who do not like animals may not take to Monty the friendly dog being around but he was no problem.
The management are friendly and helpful and there when you need them and leave you to come and go as you please.
All in all taking a balanced view of this very good traditional B and B, it's worth a big recommendation, well positioned in a delightful city and countryside.

I received a very warm welcome from Monty the dog, and his owners, when I arrived at this super B&B. However, Steve is very aware of the fact others may not like dogs, and keeps him away until he's checked your reaction. The room was beautifully clean and the bed very comfortable: there was a kettle to make tea or coffee and Steve couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

we stayed for two nights, first night was great, second night got woken up by the hippy next door at 3.30am playing music at 100 decibels. Your man said he was not aware that it had happened, I disagree. Apart from the hippy it was really nice.

A delightful clean and cheerful bed and breakfast. The light and airy bedroom and spacious bathroom, with thick fluffy towels ticked the box after a long day. A good night's sleep in the really comfortable bed, then a tasty cooked breakfast set me up for the day. Steve and Fiona, the owners were friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: I believe my room had the bigger bathroom
