“Interesting Place”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 November 2013

Whilst staying at the Goodwood Hotel my partner and I decided to visit the Cass Sculpture Foundation, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves even though it was a damp day and it took us a good couple of hours to walk around the grounds. The sculptures are amazing pieces of work. The entry cost is reasonable but if you are staying at the hotel you will get a discount. On a summers day you could take a picnic. I highly recommend a visit.

“Hard to see how they could do it better”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 November 2013

A substantial, uncrowded collection of ever-changing pieces (some of the examples in the photographs on this site are not there now). Still £10 to get in, and not enough visitors to justify a coffee shop (not when we were there on an October Saturday, anyway). Autumn colours enhance the experience.

Nice people welcome you and take your money.

Quite easy to find, but the Goodwood Estate attractions (of which this is one) are not separately listed at the junction where you need to turn off the Petworth to Chichester road.

“What a find!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 October 2013 via mobile

Staying in Arundel for a couple of days and wanting something to do around the Chichester area, a random google search threw up this little beauty.

Nestled in acres of lovely woodland we found the Cass sculpture foundation. Beautifully landscaped with approximately 60 sculptures thoughtfully positioned, this attraction is halfway between a forest park and an open air art/sculpture gallery.

The staff on arrival were extremely friendly, helpful and obviously very passionate about what they do.

Some absolutely superb, stimulating work from leading artists beautifully set. A really fantastic day.

Go....you won't be disappointed!

“Enjoy this stunning "art experience" in spectacular and tranquil surroundings”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 October 2013

Despite having been open to the public for over twenty years now, this extraordinary collection of modern sculptures tucked away deep in the West Sussex Country side, continues to be one of the best kept secrets within the UK art World. If the Cass foundation was located in or around West London within such spectacular surroundings, thousands of people a day would flock to enjoy this unique, wonderful and inspiring "gallery" of exhibits. My advice to one and all is to catch this fabulous and tranquil experience, sooner than later and before it becomes as popular and as well supported as indeed it should be. Accordingly, I give the Cass Sculpture Foundation Ten out of Ten in every respect and on every level and you don't need to be an art buff or a culture vulture to enjoy this exceptional experience as it both pleases and appeals to and on every level. A Truly wonderful place to visit, set within a stunning tranquil landscape, complete with picnic area. The staff are ever warm and friendly and the grounds are maintained to the highest level. A must for anyone and everyone.

“Wonderful modern sculpture in a wooded setting”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 October 2013

Keep coming back to this as the exhibits change from time to time. Really good afternoon out if you want a stroll in a lovely area of Sussex countryside complete with first-rate modern sculptures on a large scale such as you might not find in a gallery, and which are set off by their surroundings. My only slight grumble is that the entrance fee is a bit steep, but I suppose it's not subsidised by government funding. Well worth it if you like modern art or would like to know more about it.
