“What more could you want?”
Reviewed 2 July 2014

Visited here with a large group just this Saturday gone and had a wonderful time. Though it was busy, this added to the atmosphere. I have to say it was the perfect setting to talk to some of the people at my table who I hadn't met before: informal, relaxed and well-attended to, there was no hard-sell needed when it came to ordering food. The quality was very high, with something for everyone.

Both service and food quality were excellent, with our host James seeing to our every need (and double-checking the vegetarians at our table were given enough choice, something which is thoroughly lacking in many other restaurants!!)

Suffice to say, it was a wonderful, sangria-fuelled evening and I can't recommend it enough. Definitely book well in advance, it filled out pretty quickly!

“Brilliant meal with fantastic service from a great host”
Reviewed 1 July 2014

I booked the restaurant for a stag parties evening meal after reading the good reviews on trip advisor.
We arrived before the official opening time but the owner could not have been much more welcoming and offered us a drink whilst we were waiting for the rest of our party to arrive.
We decided that we would let the owner choose our food and asked for twenty assorted dishes. These were brought out at intervals and were all absolutely excellent.
Adding a couple of dishes by our own choice along the way was no problem, and at the end we decided to have another dish of the prawns again not an issue.
We asked him for a good wine off of his wine list at a reasonable price and were treated to a couple of very very nice bottles of red wine.
As our pitchers of Alhambra beer were emptied they were refilled, this is one of the best Spanish beers any of us had ever drunk.
At the end of the meal the stag was treat to a special drink and the rest of us were given a liquor 43 a fine way to finish off the meal.
All eight of us thought that this was one of the best meals we have eaten and certainly the best tapas I have ever had in the UK.
The service was excellent the food was brilliant this place certainly deserves its good ratings and the owners should have a small gold mine on their hands well done and thanks for such a great night

“Perfect independence!”
Reviewed 1 July 2014 via mobile

The perfect independent restaurant. No gimmicks, just real fantastic food, an excellent sincere host. You cannot walk past this place. Such a genuine Spanish food experience cooked and prepared by a native Spanish family.

“Wonderful Tapas”
Reviewed 27 June 2014

From the outside this Spanish tapas restaurant looks unimpressive but once inside everything changes. The atmosphere, staff and setting make you realise that you are going to have a good evening. The tapas were varied, interesting and well presented and importantly delicious. As an added bonus the desserts were excellent especially the Apple tart. This restaurant is very popular so you will probably need to book if you are going along at a popular time

“Great welcome and smashing tapas”
Reviewed 22 June 2014

The manager was extremely attentive at this well run tapas bar. There were a number of excellent 'specials' in addition to the menu on offer and it was clear that ingredients and wines &c are sourced with care for authenticity.
It is extremely popular so booking is essential but if you get your table, you will enjoy great food in an upbeat atmosphere.
