“Very Good Stopover”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 September 2010

At a discounted rate of £35 B&B this hotel is excellent value. Clean, comfortable, modern room with separate locations for WC and bath/shower. Roomy. Free car parking and plenty of it. Quiet location despite being on an industrial estate (although it was Sunday evening!). Accessible to motorway. A grand stop over. Recommended!

I booked a 2 night stay in a twin room at this hotel because I needed somewhere cheap, near Bradford with free parking and this hotel had all three! If you have a car its perfect - about 15minutes away from Bradford, less than half an hour from Leeds and for the price the rooms are large, clean with fairly new bathrooms. There was also free wifi.

The breakfast was adequate but basically I saw it as a bonus inclusion in the ridiculously cheap price! If you are looking for something cheap and cheerful - this is recommended!

12 of us on a 50th weekend stayed here while we were on a mystery tour, stayed 1 night, couldnt fault the meal, infact best chicken pasta ever, every 1 had different and had no complaints, breakfast was lovely ,good choice ,again piping hot and good selection, rooms clean, staff polite..... Only down side was location and would of been nice to have a bit of music for entertainment, saying that i think we entertained every one..

Arriving at 5.00pm we received a warm welcome from the charming receptionist and we were pleasantly surprised by the size of our room and the standard of the fittings. A king-size bed, double settee (which probably converted into a bed if so required), spotless showerroom and separate toilet, LCD screenTV (virtually brand new) and a tea and coffee tray. All this plus breakfast for two for £35 per night! How could anyone complain! Would willingly stay there again when visiting the area as would Eddie the dog who was also impressed and made very welcome. Little if any noise from the adjacent motorway and the somewhat jaundiced review below was in our experience totally misconceived. Finally, a word about the breakfast - brilliant!.

Ticks all the boxes apart from immediate locale (industrial estate on noisy motorway). Responsive air-con; very comfy large bed, free wi-fi, spacious with large desk and comfy chair, adequate continental breakfast included (good fresh fruit salad and croissants, mediocre coffee). Ate there one night - canteen food wouldn't eat again - and didn't try the bar; but good to have the option. This is streets ahead of the competition for the money (such as Travelodge, Ibis etc.). A rather overgrown disused outdoor pool looked a bit of an over optimistic development on this strictly overnight spot! Recommended for a budget halt.

4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 February 2010

We wanted a hotel that was close to the Eureka Museum we were visiting but the Halifax ones were a bit pricey.
Found this hotel via a website and it was less than half the price of the advertised hotels. It's straight off the motorway and the sat nav brings you to the door, even found it in the dark and pouring rain. It took 18 mins to get to the museum in the morning, no traffic issues.
The rooms are clean, tidy and have all the necessaries. We booked a family room and the child's bed had quite a thin mattress but was otherwise fine.
The restaurant had a very reduced menu on the Friday night due to the quietness but they were very nice and tolerant of a bouncing 4 year old.
The most important point was the free wi-fi and free parking, that seemed to be pay-for in most other hotels in the area.
TV reception is quite poor but if you bring a lead you can hook the laptop up to it for dvds.
There is NOTHING in the immediate vicinity barring the industrial estate and a B&Q but its great if you just want to stop and relax before and after the museum.
There is low level traffic noise so I wouldn't advise it if you are a super-light sleeper, but the 4 year old slept soundly.
