Lovely building with super period features.
Very helpful and attentive staff.
If you enjoy music this is worth a try.
Good selection of beers etc.
Quirky.
Very friendly clients who brought out the acoustic guitars (full marks to the bloke on trombone & the chap with the bird sounds)
For the money - excellent value.
Car park fine, just to rear of backdoor.
Having read a previous review was a bit feared of ' Irish club' to the rear BUT this appeared to be shut & we found that the friends we were visiting in Bradford run a folk night there 1x per week, so not at all scary.
Excellent taxi service running 10yds away.
We will be going back and thoroughly enjoyed meeting the people there.

The pub itself is excellent - especially for devotees of good beer. The interior really attractive with what looks like authentic Edwardian decor. At £40 for B & B it was reasonably priced. The staff were friendly and the pub filled with locals - always a good sign.
The room was clean and adequately furnished with en suite bathroom. Nothing spectacular but just what you'd expect in that price range. I could just hear the throb of music from the cellar bar downstairs but it didn't bother me. Rather atmospheric, in fact. It would only be a problem for those who are precious about silence!! My difficulty with the music was, as I had an early start, resisting the temptation to go down and join it.
Fine for a short stay. I was only there for one night and would have liked a second crack at the superb Black Sheep bitter!

Walked in off the street for a nights stay, nice rooms good ales and great breakfast, the staff are great the customers are chatty one thing if you want a good nights sleep stay somewhere else as this place has bands on at the weekend but that was no problem to me as i had a great night and stayed another 2 nights over all i had a great weekend.
