We had a one-night stay with our dog. I was very pleased that our dog was welcome and even allowed in the breakfast room. The owner could not be more friendly and helpful. However, our room (Anne, in the main house - we thought we might get the basement room mentioned in other reviews) was disappointing; tired decor and furnishings, cramped shower room with a bit of mould on the seal and curtain, and grubby looking carpet (we did have our dog with us so maybe that was why we got that room!). The bed linen and towels were clean though, and the bed was comfortable. The worst thing about the room was the smell - a faint whiff of urine mixed with a strong smell of cleaning products. We put up with it as it was just for the one night but don't think we could have stood it for longer. The shower was a pain - it took literally minutes to get hot, then veered between scalding and freezing. It was supposed to be adjustable but neither of us could get it to work properly.
On the plus side, breakfast was very good, plenty of choice and well cooked, tea came in a large pot and coffee in a cafetiere. Again, the breakfast room would benefit from a good clean.
My rating for Aitches would have been 1 but as we could take our dog and the owner is very nice I'm giving it 3.

We stayed here because we wanted to visit the Bronte Parsonage and you could book just the one night and not have a min 2 night stay. My husband booked it and I did not actually read any reviews on trip advisor before we went, just the reviews on Aitches website........although David is very welcoming I would not stay here again, the place really does need a 'deep clean' there were dead flies all over the tea cups/breakfast tray etc in our bedroom and tea/coffee stains on the bedside tables and dust all over the bed canopy and every where else, the breakfast was good but one wonders what the kitchen is like, I did eat the breakfast but I think I did it to be polite! We stayed in the Charlotte room, it was very tired and grubby, such a shame as the guest house it is in such a lovely spot, the place really does need stripping out and re vamping, I am amazed that some people had a wonderful time here, but I guess we all have our own standards!

I recently stayed at the Aitches for a mini break and would not stay again. The room was filthy, cobwebs, skirting boards thick with dirt, bathroom mouldy. Left before breakfast as didn't know what the state of the kitchen was considering the state of the room.

We just spent Saturday night in the Charlotte room everything you needed was there and the bed was very comfortable. However the room needs a really really good cleaning and dusting. Cobwebs dust and dirt not been touched for quite some time, the shower tray was full of scum and the bathroom sink taps haven't been cleaned for a long long time. The tooth brush cup actually had green mould inside and unusable. Breakfast was very good plenty of choice and the proprietor was very nice and helpful, would return if he gets a new cleaner.

Just spent three nights at the Aitches with my husband and loved it. The owners are very helpful, and there's plenty of information on the area available. My husband loved having a chat with David in the mornings before we headed out for the day.

The lounge room is comfortable, and I loved the fact that there was a bookcase of books to read down the corridor. Having said that, I didn't get much of a chance to peruse the shelves. The parsonage is nearby, plus there is also the railway station. And the Bronte Falls (a waterfall, footbridge and "Charlotte's Chair") is within walking distance of Haworth. Not to mention "Top Withens" farm, said to be the inspiration for "Wuthering Heights". (This is mentioned on page 34 of "A Guide To Historic Haworth And The Brontes" by Mark Ward with Ann Dinsdale and Robert Swindells).

The room we were in was clean and comfortable. We had no problems with parking (we parked in the car park round the back of Aitches - ok, so we had to pay four pounds to park between 8 and 6 pm, but that's a council issue). Breakfast was delicious, and unrushed. The serving size of the cooked breakfast was just right.

This was our second stay at Aitches, and we'll definitely consider coming back for a third.

The guy is lovely and very helpfull. We would not stay again as the rooms have a very damp feeling and look so very tired. Breakfast was fine but the dining room was not clean. Its in a great spot for browsing Bronte country though... shame about the place really.

We arrived earlier than expected so had to wait for the room to be readied. The basement room was clean, but did feel a bit dampish after three days of rainy weather. There was no noticeable mildew anywhere nor any odour of such.
Breakfast was good, with a nice choice of options (more than one egg allowed compared to other places we have stayed). Service excellent.
We parked in the parking lot behind Aitches with our handicap placard from Canada. Got issued a parking ticket by the local authorities. David, the proprietor and the visitor information centre staff were both extremely helpful in assisting us to contact the parking authority.
Location is good, right beside the Bronte parsonage. Pubs and other eateries are close by.
Local shop is a ten minute walk down to reach it, and twenty minutes walk back due to the length and steepness of the hill. Wifi was unreliable. We would stay here again.
