I have recently stayed at Ashmount Haworth with my partner, we chose it for an anniversary weekend away. We stayed in Suite Dreams just over the road from the main house. It was superb! The room itself was fantastic, huge four poster bed, free standing copper bath tub (big enough for us both) coupled with WiFi, a sound system and a breath taking view of the moors made it perfect. We walked around the grounds and ate at a local pub in Haworth for one night and in the restaurant in Ashmount the second night. The food at Ashmount was sublime, I had to make a substitution to the menu which was completed without hesitation. The breakfast perhaps was my favourite part, the eggs from the chickens in the grounds were tasty and the bacon/sausages were all local and crowned a delectable meal. The staff were very attentive, nothing was too much trouble. It was an absolute pleasure. Will definitely stay there again and would recommend it to anyone!

Room Tip: Don't be put off my others comments of the rooms across the road. They cannot have read the webs...

Very enjoyable 2 night stay in the Greenwood room, beautiful views.Room was clean and well appointed and we slept very well in large 4 poster.
Ate in the restaurant both nights, very good quality and breakfast was varied and excellent, not too rushed.
The staff were all very welcoming and friendly but not overly 'in your face', just right.
Reccomended by a work colleague, and I will happily pass this on to anyone else looking to stay in the area.
Thank You.

We booked for a one night stay and chose 'The Gardeners Cottage' room away from the main house for peace and quiet. We were misled by the hotel website to believe this separate cottage was in the grounds of the main house but it was actually over the road in a former council house that had been purchased by the hotel and converted into luxury rooms! Nothing wrong with this huge room with double slipper baths and lots of little extra goodies but certainly was NOT with a country house feel being in an ex-government house! Dinner, served in the beautiful dining room of the main house, was very slow, with 2 of the 6 starter choices not available and the cooking skills only average, only added to our disappointed. A good nights and a delicious breakfast lifted us somewhat but sadly We'll not be returning.

Room Tip: Choose a room in the main house, some with amazing feature baths and private spa facilities

We have just returned from an overnight stay at the ashmount in haworth.we received a lovely welcome.sherry and home made biscuits were waiting for us in our room.we were in the Amos Ingham room with a beautiful 4 poster bed.the shower room was spotless. This room has fabulous views of the countryside.we ate in the restaurant.the food was wonderful.everything cooked to perfection and nothing was too much trouble for the staff who were really friendly.it is only a short walk from haworth village where you will find novelty shops, tea rooms and several pubs.the only let down was the weather as the gardens are beautiful and we would have loved to have been able to sit outside in the evening, but it was a bit chilly. Would strongly recommend and we would love to go back again.

Room Tip: I don't think you can go wrong, but just checkout the website as all rooms have unique features.

We booked two nights at the ashmount for my husband's birthday and our 26th wedding anniversary break. So glad we did. From arrival the staff were attentive and friendly. We stayed in the honey pot room with a 4 poster bed, whirlpool bath for 2 plus a massive seperate shower. Sherry and homemade shortbread on arrival. Bottle of wine in the garden was lovely as were the two breakfasts and evening meals. Only a five minute walk up the hill into the cobbled main street of haworth. The only downside was it was very noisy from under our room window on the Monday night until about half past eleven and as it was so warm we could not shut the window. No problems on the Tuesday night however. Thank you so much for a brilliant stay.

We have only one regret about staying at Ashmount - that we only had one night there. Everything was perfect. Friendly attentive service, lovely food and fantastic rooms. We had tea in the garden on arrival, which was excellent and what a great setting. We then had the Bronte tour in Howarth before returning to the hotel for a relaxing afternoon. Then down for an excellent dinner, beautifully prepared and with the service just right. The honesty bar in the lounge and the sherry decanters in the bedrooms were both great touches. This was topped off by a lovely breakfast and we then had to go unfortunately. We will certainly be back. Thank you - we really enjoyed our all too brief stay.

My fiance and I stayed at this beautiful country house at the end of May for 7 nights. During the week I arranged a wonderful proposal package and the hotel staff could not have been more helpful or enthusiastic, especially Rebecca the Manager. Food throughout our stay was delicious, the staff friendly and helpful. One or two minor niggles were far outweighed by the whole delightful experience and we will always remember how lovely our engagement night was.

Room Tip: We had The Dispensary which was the only room available and was at the lower end of the choice of ro...

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
Ashmount manages to sympathetically combine modern day amenities (such as wi-fi, hot tub) with many of the original features that the Bronte Sisters would have much admired. Most of the furniture is antique and much of the interior of the house, including the beautiful stained glass windows, is original. It is this care & attention to detail - both modern and traditional - that leads us to believe Ashmount to be the most comfortable accommodation with the finest restaurant in Haworth. ... more   less
