We popped in today to book a christmas lunch, the place is unrecognisable from before, clean, freshly decorated, a good range of beers behind the bar at reasonable prices. The owner is very much hands on and friendly, can't wait to return for a meal. We were told top rated chefs are on their way.

I have had the pleasure of seeing the Hotel's new look before its re-opening on Friday 4th July 2014.
The décor is all brand new and to a very high standard along with a new and exciting main bar with welcoming staff and a very big range of excellent lagers, ciders and three hand pulled real ales.
Although the reviews below are some what disappointing , this will just go to show the new era that has now started at this once run down hotel owned by the pub co's and back into the hands of a loving family who will or already have pumped new air and ideas into the premises.

Location good, hotel needing some major repairs, general cleanliness poor, cigarette ends, dead spiders, fly's and dirty socks on windows sills. Covers for the bed and pillows need replacing, blood and cigarette burns. Grounds littered with rubbish. The sad thing is this could be a beautiful place with some TLC.

We only visited for a meal to celebrate our 50th Wedding Anniversary with our family Found it rather lacking. The food was terrible and service lacking in quality of waitresses. Would not visit again.

Great location as only a couple of minutes from the station. Handy as there are only a few places to stay in each of the villages around this area. Room was big, bit dated and TV was quite small. Breakfast was good - full English or cooked lighter options.

We held a wedding in Steeton Hall in April - the staff could not have been more helpful and accommodating - nothing was too much trouble.
The breakfast was very good, as was the wedding meal - however the burger the night before was pretty awful - even the replacement!
