Hotel from the outside looks like a state of the art modern spaceship, and inside is completely different. Decided to stay here as it looked very contemporary and funky, however when you get inside its all pretty average and run-of-the-mill. When you walk inside you have a starbucks, 2 bars and loads of seating areas, plus a gym. I think they've probably overdone it, as when I was there, there weren't enough staff to look after all the ammenities. When I went to my room, I was expecting something very contemporary, spacious and funky. However, when I walked in, the room was quite small, views were rubbish, it was very dusty, plus the bed kept moving and didn't look solid, and the noise from outside was horrendous (the front side of the hotel overlooks a very busy dual carriageway)! To top it all off, the telephone or any of the gadgets in the room didn't work. When I went to tell the reception staff, they were very unhelpful and said 'they would tell maintenance in the morning'! It was only when I persisted that someone came up, looked at it and moved us to another room!

If you are going to stay here, I would ask for a room that doesn't face the dual carriageway. Complained about the dust, apparently its something to do with the buidling design! The gym is pretty cool, food average and overpriced, staff unfriendly and overworked...besides that its a great place to stay!!!

Stayed at the hotel for one night for a break away. As it was a treat booked a "superior" room. There was however nothing superior about it. Got a cheap bottle of white wine, unfortunately no glasses for it. Bathrobes were provided but were very small and felt like cardboard so basically paid £20.00 extra for a bottle of cheap wine and a bath! Unfortunately to continue my moan the room was not particularly clean and little attention had been paid to detail when cleaning such as hoovering behind the bed which was very dusty. The bed itself was very comfortable but was not the king size it has been described as just two singles together with a king size duvet. The hotel bar, however, was excellent reasonable prices and extremely pleasant helpful staff and breakfast was good. We didn't use the leisure facilities but they also looked good. The free wifi was good and easy to connect to. I would stay at the hotel again but I would not pay for the superior room.

The breakfast was just wonderful, staff very helpful and friendly, nothing was to much trouble. Leisure facilities were very good. Will be first on our list when we return to Leeds. Highly recommended,

Don't be put off by the very modern exterior of this hotel (i.e. it's ugly!). Once inside you are treated very well by everyone from the receptionists to the lady at the costa coffee bar to the young man serving in the restaurant. The rooms are very modern, not huge but adequate for a short stay, and everything you need; kettle, iron, hairdryer etc. I've stayed here twice and been very satisfied on both occassions. Food from the main restaurant both for dinner and breakfast is very good and reasonably priced. The on site gym is huge and opens at 6:30. Free car parking. Only downside is it sits along a busy road so it can be a little noisy if you have your room window open. But that turely is my only criticisim, great otherwise on all accounts.

Stayed here in August '09 for one night, using all leaisure facilities including the huge gym, pool and sauna's etc. Rooms were very trendy, clean etc. The food for both breakfast and dinner was spot on. Only slight downside was location, about a 10 minute drive to centre of Leeds. Its a local perfect place for a spontanious, romantic trip with a loved one :-)

stayed for two nights with my husband for a leisure break, what a fantastic surprise when we checked in front desk very friendly and fast. The room was so modern plasma built into wall, bathroom fantastic walk in shower the only thing missing was shelfs, but that was a minor thing. Room overlooked the motorway but due to tripple glazing you cant hear the noise. The swimming pool was fantastic in fact the leisure facilities are all top notch. We liked it so much we have booked three nights later this month at £39 a night room only its a bargain not to be missed.

A lovely hotel, very impessive to look at. Stylish clean really comfortable rooms. Loads of space. Felt really new. Staff really friendly and helpful. Could find nothing to complain about, for £59 bed and breakfast it was a bargain. Would definately go back and stay again.
