“Perfect!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 August 2014

Fantastic value for money, unpretentious with fabulous staff. Food was exceptional, setting intimate and not at all stuffy (I had anticipated it might be). Already booked to return. We eat out several times a week and this has been by the far the most enjoyable dining experience in a long time

“A touch of France”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 August 2014

Tucked up an unprepossessing side street with a view of the BBC, Kendells is as authentic a bistro dining experience as you will get outside France. The menu features many typical French stalwarts and everything we had on the night we visited was well cooked and beautifully presented. The surprise is the price. An early bird of three courses with wine came in at less than £25. Not only that, the house wine - supplied by Cellar 28 in Brighouse- was excellent. Combined with friendly but professional service, Kendells provides the perfect place for a meal a deux or a get-together with friends. Be warned, it's popular -you should book- and can get a bit noisy.

“Amazing! Best Restaurant in Leeds!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 August 2014

This is the first time i have ever felt compelled to write a review about an eating experience [and we have eaten out at a lot of nice places!] but felt this place deserved it!

My husband booked a table here for my birthday and from arrival to leaving the service we received was fantastic. The little touches for my birthday [free glass of champagne and desert bites] were also gratefully appreciated.

The ambiance of the restaurant is really olde worlde with candlelit tables and has a lovely romantic feel however it was the food that took this up a level in my opinion!

We ordered from the teatime menu which was a bargain £25.95 for 3 courses including half a bottle of wine, I had the Pate for starter and a 'melt in the mouth' lamb for my main - it was honestly the nicest lamb i have ever tasted! The desert of Macaron la Fraise was just lush [Oh how i could eat another one now] My husband was equally blown away with his Tartlet starter and Duck main.

Overall this place is a little gem it has the feel of a rustic french bistro and the food is cooked to Michelin standards in my opinion at a very reasonable price!

Don't hesitate in booking Kendells Bistro! We will be back soon!! Happy eating :-)
