Stayed just one night in August 2012. Found it OK after circumnavigating half of Leeds. Paid the £12 to park right by the hotel (a bit steep but it was raining and I just wanted to get into the hotel!).
Reception staff very welcoming and as others have stated, the cookie was delicious.
Room very good - large room in the corner of the hotel overlooking the canal. Bed very comforatble and bathroom very good (note only a shower, but I prefer a proper shower cubicle to a bath anyway).
Breakfast good - all sorts of fruits, meats, cereals, porridge, toast, sausages, bacon, scrambled egg etc - the ususal buffet breakfast. What was not so usual is that they will cook you eggs to order. I only found out by chance when I overheard the waitress asking another guest if he would like fried eggs. I then asked for two boiled eggs, which were perfectly cooked. They don't advertise the fact that they offer this service.
My husband used the gym and he said this was of a good standard.
Checkout very efficient. I would recommend the hotel, but if staying longer, I would find somewhere else cheaper to park.More
