Great hotel, close to railway station and to the city centre... both within walking distance. Very clean hotel with friendly helpful staff. Fabulous bar at the top with great views over Leeds.Parking is close by but is an extra £12.00 for a day and night. Thought the breakfast was a bit expensive but plenty of choice in town at reasonable prices.

A lovely , modern property situated overlooking the leeds Liverpool canal just a block away from its sister hotel the Leeds Hilton. Though it certainly has a much more upmarket feel than the Hilton with a higher calibre of staff who have a "can do" attitude. The reception staff are mainly well groomed well spoken pretty boys who aim to make you feel very welcome and always welcome you in a professional way, and thank you for being a diamond member! Unfortunatly no pool or sauna here just a small gym. The only good thing about the neighbouring Hilton is that it has a full service health club with pool and sauna suite. I think doubletree guests should also be given complimentary access to this.
Rooms at the doubletree are much more modern and stylish than the Hilton, offering floor to ceiling windows, comfy beds, crabtree and evelyn toiletries and all you need for a good nights sleep. While im always upgraded when I stay here, sometimes ive been told I have free use of the minibar othertimes ive ben told I don't. No consistency. Ive always challenged this which is embarrassing and I should not have to do since if the property had an exec lounge id have access to it so I think its only fair that Diamonds receive the free minibar which the exec rooms come with otherwise its not really an upgrade as apart from that their is no real difference between the standards and execs. To be fair they did upgrade me to a very nice corner suite on my last stay. I think the complimentary small bottle of wine and Graze snack box should be the Gold amenity and the free mini bar the diamond amenity, particularly when you no longer give free drinks vouchers at checkin which every other Hilton and doubletree property without lounges do. Really hope you will sort this out to prevent future embarrassment for your top tier guests!!!! Breakfast is lovely, I fail to understand some of the negative comments on trip advisor on the breakfast experience as my experience of breakfast at the hotel has always been excellent. A first class buffet with high quality hot and cold food. Though to be fair I generally stay mid week, it may be busier at weekends. Generally Its one of the better options for Leeds if your looking for a high end product in the city centre. Though I hope management will take on board the constructive comments ive made re HHonors benefits for Golds and Diamonds. Id also recommend Gold and Diamonds book this property rather than the neighbouring Hilton. Ive had to open a file with Hilton worldwide Guest assistance everytime ive stayed down the road if that gives you a clue!!!!! This property is ten times their standard

You will get a warm cookie on arrival. I'd prefer a clean room (ie no sticky surfaces, telephone thick with dust) and a parking bay that did not have water continuously dripping from above (it was in an old railway arch). Staff were very attentive: breakfast satisfactory enough.

Nice location, quiet expensive for a town Hotel, rooms very clean but I have stayed in better equipped premier travel inn, long queue for lifts on a weekend as a lot of people are coming in from the city for the skyline bar, breakfast very overpriced, staff very polite and helpful, I would stay there again.

We stayed here for one night as the starting point for touring the route of Le Grand Depart. The hotel is quite new, very well appointed (Apple TV) great bed, decent shower. The breakfast service was very good too. The hotel is very close to the city centre but faces the canal wharf so you can see the long boats using the lock. Surprisingly quiet with so many bars and restaurants close by. A great place for a city centre stay.

Booked King room through late rooms but on checking in was given a queen deluxe room which was everything but deluxe. it had a ajoining door which unfortunately lead directly to the next rooms bathroom (not an enjoyable experiance). After asking at reception if they had made an error with our room, they quickly moved us to the King room we booked in the first place. The King room was much better and much more private, although the bed was not a king as advertised. Nice view of canal from room but overall very average.

We stayed here for two nights in March, the hotel is in a really good location surrounded by good bars and restaurants.

Checking was really quick and efficient and the staff really friendly.

Our room on floor nine was nice and spacious with a good view, bed very comfy and nice that it had a fridge.

The sky bar on the top floor was really nice with lovely cocktails although it does get a little annoying that all the tables get booked up.

Overall a fantastic hotel and will definitely be returning.
