This hotel is only 10 mins walk into Leeds and not 18 mins as the sat nav says. I is a very smart hotel, we had a Canal view which was lovely, the room had a huge Superking size bed, which was memory foam, had the best night sleep in a hotel bed that i have ever had, there was a Apple Mac in the room which was free to use and the tv had plenty of channels, everything in the room looked new. There was a good selection of food for breakfast and the staff where very helpful and nothing was a problem. The only downside was The Granary Bar, the drinks where very expensive £5.80 for a bottle of fruity cider, and also when we got back to the hotel after being out all day the bar was shut, so we had to go to the Skyline Bar, which had a Nightclub feel to it, so had to order room service and drink on the 1st floor.

Room Tip: paid for Canal view and it was worth it

This was our first stay at this hotel, and we was really surprised at how nice it was. We would definately stay again, we found all ameneties were clean and staff friendly and helpful. Location is great for access into the city centre. The bar on the top floor was very relaxing and the bar staff very accomodating. Overall we found it an excellent hotel and service.

This was a great place to be based to explore Leeds and the surrounding countryside in Yorkshire. Easy walk to the city's great shopping arcades and lots of restaurants and cafés nearby. Close to the train station. Rooms are very comfortable and clean.

Me and my partner stayed at the Doubletree Hilton in January, we had a very enjoyable stay. The Sky Lounge bar is amazing, a definite must see of the hotel. Yes, the drinks are a little pricey, however the bar is a great place to visit so it's obvious you are going to pay a little more. The rooms were an average size, with the bed being very comfortable. The bathrooms are very modern and the showers are lovely. We had a fabulous view out of our room right onto the river. The only negatives I have about the hotel was the wait for breakfast in the morning, we waited about twenty minutes before we could be seated and the breakfast room could definitely do with being expanded, as we were sitting on top of the other two tables either side of us. I would also say that the location wasn't the closest to the bars and nightlife we were wanting to visit. The taxi ride was only a couple of minutes however we made the mistake of trying to walk there and it took a good 10 minutes if not more. The staff were friendly and the rooms were clean. If you're looking for a nice hotel at a reasonable price, the Doubletree would be a good one to visit.

Room Tip: Get a room with a view of the river. Go down to breakfast early to save on queues.

Stayed here for one night in June 2014 midweek. £79 for room only. We requested a king size bedroom to find that it was merely two beds pushed together. When I raised this with reception, they stated that was classed as a King Size bed. I think not! The room was pretty bog standard and I have stayed in Travelodges just as good. Location is the only thing going for this hotel.

Having stayed in the Double Tree in Chester, this was not a patch on it. Save your money and either stay at the Travelodge or spend a bit more and stay at the Marriot.

Very good hotel. Clean throughout, rooms well furnished and comfortable. There is some sort of Apple PC/TV which was good - but not totally intuitive to use - nice to have though.

Great breakfast - though slightly frustrating you have to pay a couple of quid more for the kippers (why bother?). The sky bar on the (11th?) floor is excellent.

Not great for parking and close to railway line so noisy if you leave the window - but on the good side it's extremely close to the station, which is why we chose this hotel.

Overall, very good experience would certainly use again. Thanks.
