This was a great hotel for the price we paid £69.00 and this included a fantastic breakfast. The top floor bar which over looks leeds is lovely but the service is not great we waited 15 minuted for our drinks to be brought to us.,... The prices are high beware. Although the cost stay is very good value would definately go back!!!! The staff in reception were friendly and helpful.

I arrived at the hotel on Saturday afternoon at around 1700hrs. The hotel car park was full as was the valet parking, however the nearby ISIS car park had lots of space and I parked my car there safe and sound for £12 for 24 hours - it was literally a 1 minute walk to the hotel.
We were checked in quickly and without any fuss and asked if we had a choice of floor on which we wanted to stay. We stayed on the 11th floor. On arrival to the room we found the room to be exceptional clean - spacious and everything worked from the Apple Mac, Iron, Safe and Air Con. We were really impressed with the quality and cleanliness of the room - I think most other chains would be hard pressed to beat this aspect within the price bracket (£69 per night).
Later that evening we visited the bar on the 13th floor. The prices were reasonable and the bar had a great service and excellent atmosphere - highly recommended for a night cap or if you want to party till the late hours.
We decided to try the room service. The food arrived within 15 minutes and was piping hot. The food was good quality although steep at £17 for grilled chicken sandwich and fries - but it was gone midnight.
Overall the hotel was brilliant - the beds were exceptionally comfy and we were very happy with the whole experience until we went down for breakfast in the morning. Upon arrival we were confronted with a rather large line of people and were told the wait for breakfast was 10 minutes. 30 minutes later we were still waiting - there must have been 50-60 people waiting in a nearby bar and the staff were calling out room numbers to invite people to be seated for breakfast. Eventually we were seated - to be honest the breakfast was poor quality - the food was not cooked well and I do not think it was worth the money at £13.95 per head.
We had a fantastic time at the hotel - you cannot beat it for value for money, quality of room and cleanliness - however our stay was somewhat ruined by the breakfast experience - what should have been a 30 minute breakfast ended up being a 60 minute experience which left us rather frustrated and very hungry. The restaurant manager was excellent in addressing the issue - but nevertheless it should not happen. Verdict - stay at the hotel - go out for breakfast.

Just stayed for one night in early August as seeing a play at the Grand Theatre.
Great location. Close to train station and canal.
Got the room through a late booking site and excellent value for £59 including breakfast.
Evidently a quiet time of year so no problem parking underneath the rail arches in the Hotel carpark for which they charge £12 a night. Probably be difficult to get space at busier times.
Pleasant staff at reception. We asked for quiet room and they gave us a lovely quiet room on the 9th floor. Great view over Leeds and looking down on the canal. We enjoyed watching the barges going through the locks.
Room was modern, quiet and comfortable and TV was fine with good choice of channels.
In the evening for convenience ate at the City Cafe on ground floor. Reasonable enough choice of food (it's a chain hotel so food not spectacular but OK) and nice service from a pleasant, personable French waiter. Service was quick and that was appreciated as we had a 12 or 15 minute walk to theatre.
As to drawbacks:
As to the dinner menu basic vegetable accompaniments are all listed as side orders at a considerable extra cost per item.
The breakfast had a good choice of buffet items but clearly the hotel has not mastered the art of the cooked breakfast. Basic items were OK but the scrambled egg was leathery and the bacon was more of a congealed lump then a properly cooked rasher. As to service we had just sat down with some buffet items when the waiter arrived with the cooked items and enquired rather dopily where we were ready for them, to which the answer was obviously "no".
A "discretionary" tip was added to the dinner bill - we should have given the tip to the waiter the evening before and asked for the discretionary tip to be taken off.
Not meaning to sound too harsh - overall very nice but other reviews have mentioned the breakfasts and surely can't be that difficult to sort out.

I recently booked into this hotel, as a surprise for my girlfriend to celebrate her birthday and also to get away from the hustle and bustle of arranging our forthcoming wedding which is/was taking place a week after we stayed.

Firstly, the hotel is incredibly easy to find and signposted by road!

upon our arrival, we were told that the car parking was full (cost £12 overnight), however valet parking was available (cost £15 overnight), this was a real no brainer! paid the extra £3 for the valet parking, meant I didn't have to manoeuvre the vehicle in a small car park and the car was delivered back to us in the morning when we checked out.! The valet parking is actually under the hotel and accessed via a car lift! But they deal with it all.

When we checked in the staff were extremely friendly and polite, but I guess that is what happens when you are polite to them! I engaged in conversation with the receptionist, and informed her that we were getting away from all the hassle of preparing a wedding.

We were given our room card and went to our room. upon our arrival we were amazed! Now don't get me wrong, as soon as I entered the room I realised that we had been given a junior suite! Very generous of the receptionist to do this, and yes I admit, on informing her of our celebration etc I had hoped that my politeness may have paid off...which it obviously did. (if you get a room ending in _16, you're in luck.)

The room was very spacious with views over the canal and the city, windows on two sides with a living area at one end taking advantage of the dual aspect. The bed was huge, and there were two iMac's in the room, one set up as a computer and one set up as the multimedia centre, although both had the capacity for dual functionality. the furniture and fittings in the room are contemporary in design, very functional and stylish.

The Bathroom was spacious with a Power shower, excellent toiletries, bathrobes and slippers.

The only problem I found with the hotel, is that my W2B did not want to leave the room to go exploring around Leeds!!

The Sky bar is a fantastic Bar on the 13th floor, with a terrace overlooking the city a good place for a night cap before going back to the room.

The only issue we encountered was breakfast, where we had a 15 minute wait to be seated, however this was short lived as the waiting area is the bar opposite and they provide complimentary pastries and muffins, as well as juice. The breakfast was a huge buffet of everything imaginable, including smoked salmon, croissants, cold meats, cereals etc etc etc, and cooked breakfast are ordered from the waitresses and arrive in a timely fashion, all in all a pleasant breakfasting experience watching the barges go by on the canal.

The hotel is conveniently located, and it is a 5-10 minute walk to the centre of town, Leeds has and is undergoing massive regeneration, and to be honest, it is one of the few places where it seems to be working! I would fully recommend the Japanese restaurant across from the hotel, it is a fantastic experience as the chefs cook in front of you and provide culinary entertainment!

We both thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the room rates are incredibly reasonable if booking direct on their website, look out for the offers which include breakfast. we will definitely be returning to this hotel in the near future.

This hotel is so modern very upto date with techno in the centre great for going out locally. Taxis only £6 to bars/clubs/food. Staff on the desk very freindly car parking safe enough and all 24hr cctv shame you had to pay £12 should of been half price or even free for people staying at the hotel. Rooms large and stunning, great views of the canal very value for money. However we went to the 13th floor to the all fancy sky bar at the top of the hotel stunning views but with over 40 mins wait to be served when the bar had over 5 people serving we thought was a terrible service people around also getting angry about the wait!! We stayed bed and breakfast and if there is an option to have bed/room only and breakfast out of the hotel I would take it!!! Went for Breakfast at 10am we had to wait in a crowded room for half hour while our table was ready, when we got called our table had not even been set cold selection very good but we ordered a hot breakfast also and after waiting another half hour nothing had arrived and when it did it was terrible over cooked and tasteless so we had to leave it. The hotel is stunning to look at and stay in but the service of the bar and breakfast let it all down!!! I would stay again on ROOM ONLY and recommend a ROOM ONLY to freinds for a cheap overnight stay.

We stayed at this hotel for a few days as my company was working in Leeds. It's tucked away just behind the Leeds train station and about 20-30 minutes away from Leeds airport. It's about a 5 minute walk to the city center.

The hotel has pretty much everything a business or leisure traveler could ask for, including:
- Free wi-fi
- Gym (empty every time I went)
- Restaurant & bar (offering great views of the city)
- TV
- Laundry
- Great service (desk staff were always willing to call restaurants, taxis, etc.)

The only downsides about this hotel is that the bar which is located on the 13th floor can get very busy which will only impact you when trying to get an elevator up or down to your floor. The rooms are also a bit small too and ALL of the doors in the place are incredibly heavy for some reason!
