Great modern hotel. Helpful front of desk staff, great room with views of the city, lovely warm room with comfy bed and best of all the price which is unbelievable. Close to the shops and railway station - Will definitely stay here again.

The Mint Hotel (formerly known as the City Inn) is a top rate hotel located at the rear of the main train station at Brewery Wharf and exciting and scenic part of the city. Rooms are very impressive with tea coffee facilities, iron and board, safe and sufficient storage for a short stay. The bathroom is elegant with a superb large walk-in power shower. The highlight of the room has to be the Apple entertainment centre featuring satellite TV including Sky Sports 1-4 and Internet connection and a CD/DVD player. The hotel is only a few minutes walk from the main train station and the centre of Leeds is reachable by a short walk under the station over the canals. The most impressive ingredient of the hotel has to be the 13th floor Sky Lounge with amazing views of the city covering all sides. Prices sare reasonable and there is a great atmosphere up there. It's open late and is a great way to end the night. Along with the Radisson Blu this has to be the hotel of choice in Leeds

Have stayed here a number of times on business and leisure. Very good standards of service and excellent rooms with different layout from the standard. Very good bar on 13th floor - Sky bar - well worth a visit. Great location on Granary Wharf by the canals and more restaurants opening nearby.

I have stayed at city inn leeds quite a few times now as i have travelled to leeds hospital from abroad quite a bit with my baby, now 1 , Although primerally a buisness hotel, the staff have always made us feel very welcome and so long as you are conciencious parent, i have found this hotel extremley welcoming . It is deally situated, close to the train station, close to fantatic shopping!! VIP!! and the food always classy and enjoyable.... plus not far from other eateries... Rooms are always clean and of a good size andthe apple mac is a really bonus.!! When i have been on my own with my baby staff have been really helpful, even down to the parking attendant... i feel very safe and looked after and think the price is reasonable ... i also really like using the white company shower gel!! ( sad i know!!)... I have also stayed here once as a family of four and also enjoyed the experience.

With the credit crunch biting my husband and I decided to forego office parties this year and spoil ourselves with a night away without the children. Selected the mint hotel on it's TripAdvisor number 1 hotel in Leeds status and the fact it was near the train station.
Arrived on Friday lunchtime, really near the railway station and easy to find from directions on hotel website, room ready early (which is always a great start in my opinion) checked in and was very impressed with the room. It was only a standard room but it was really spacious and exceptionally clean. Plenty of tea/coffee/toiletries and well stocked mini bar. imac computer/tv with free internet was great, take note all hotel chains. Our room overlooked the canal and the area was pleasant. I imagine it's particularly nice in the summer.
Breakfast was all included and at a total bill of £69 B&B we felt it was really good value for money. The city was all within easy walking distance and although there was busy roads in the vicinity we could hear no noise. The citycafe was a lovely area for a brew and very peaceful when we visited. I think there may have been christmas functions on but I'm only guessing that because we saw no evidence or heard any noise or rowdiness.
Staff very obliging and polite. Think this visit may become a christmas tradition!

Absolute bargain from expedia. Fantastic room, buzzing bar, great location and good breakfast. The sort of stuff which makes you all warm and fuzzy inside. You will not be let down.

I spent two nights in this Hotel, formerly known as City Inn. it's in a nice position by the canal and only a 5 minute walk to the city centre and train station.
Although comfortable, a very bland hotel which makes you feel you want to start hanging pictures on the wall. 2 types of room either overlooking the canal or the platform at Leeds Central Station, although this is not a problem as the rooms are totally sound proof!
The rooms are very comfortable and are a good size.
The breakfasts are really good and the staff very helpful.
My only complaint is that I took friends back to the hotel with me at 12.30am, it was a bitter cold night and I suggested we had coffee. I was informed (not in a very polite manner) by a member of staff on reception that both bars were closed, even to residents! I asked if I could order from room service and drink the coffee in the foyer lounge area. I was told the ONLY place we could get coffee was from room service in my room! I complained to management when I checked out the following morning. They apologised on his behalf and said this was incorrect! So beware, although they plug the "sky lounge", you won't be able to get a drink after 12.30!
